Okay I've fixed the pathway, but my characters still don't show. Could it be because I also need to make the db tables to allow them to exist in PFM? (If so, which tables would I need)

If the characters are correctly added, your tables would be enough. Can you make Screenshots of your AK tables too?

Also here's my faction leader character in case you see I did something wrong -
This seems correct to me.
Can you show me now "startpos_characters" and "startpos_family_relationships" tables?

The startpos_characters_table is ok.

Still didn't work, characters are the placeholder ones. I'm starting to notice that some of the work I did in AK startpos doesn't translate over into the game now. Like the name of the political parties are missing and the name of the faction is default (I renamed it to Heruskoz in AK). This makes me think maybe the db tables shouldn't be messed with in PFM? Because really the only thing working for me from AK startpos is the fact that I am able to actually play as the Cherusci. If that makes sense. Everytime I mess with a db table in PFM is messes with something in the game.
Also when I go into the processed startpos itself (through ESFEditor) my created characters aren't there. And I promise I export changes to binary then only select process startpos in BOB. So I'm at a loss![]()
Out of curiosity: Did you download AK short time ago or some years ago? Because some years ago there was bugs with AK, it didn't work at all.
You need PFM to work on Factions.
For example for changing faction names:
The AK isn't enough, you need to create entries in the localisation.loc:
For reasons i don't know your AK doesn't work properly.

Yeah it has to be my AK. I just went to steam and downloaded AK from there about 3 weeks ago so it has to be the new one. It's weird that it will unlock the faction and rename the parties/faction but won't create any new characters for me though
Perhaps you should reinstall the AK and start from scratch. Or try a different faction.

Okay I've been tinkering with it and it seems when I DON'T assign the characters to a political party (but still click progenitor for faction leader) they finally show up. However, they go to the ruling party by default so I have no idea how to create/assign a character for the other party. But for now, I have a husband and wife in the ruling party and that is good enough for me.
If you have a solution for assigning a person to the council party (without literally doing so in the start_pos_characters tables) that'd be awesome but if not, you've already helped out a TON. Seriously, I can't thank you enough - it's amazing how willing and helpful this community is honestly!!!
You are welcome.
As i know, there is a kind of randomness with the parties, it can always spawn a different one from the preset 7 parties in the major factions, perhaps that is the problem, why you can't assign your character to a specific party.
Personally i only created characters for the family tree of the minor factions and didn't bother with the characters of the other parties, although i gave them 7 parties too.
At least you have a practicable solution now.![]()
