Okay new problem, I did exactly that and saved into the Total Rome 2 > data folder, but my mod doesn't show up in my mod manager now. So what do I do to activate it? It's visible in the data folder of Rome 2, just not in mod manager now

I don't understand..my file is visible but my faction isn't playable now. So that means it has something to do with my db/text files then right? It was playable when the mod was a mod pack, but now that it's a movie pack it's not showing up for me. Ideas?
You need to switch to movie.pack, if you use RFPM. You do this like this:
If you use the old PFM like me sometimes, you don't have to do this.
Then in your mod pack should be the .esf
and the tables with your political parties.
Naturally the db tables with which you unlock the cherusci too!
And important the AK tables must be clean of the old general characters for the Cherusci!
Control this four tables please:
If it still doesn't work you can still ask me, if you want.![]()

I did everything you asked Mortica, still no luck. The only generals in my form launcher > starting_positions are the ones I created, the 4 db files were with the ESF that I made a directory to into the AK > working data folder and still I am only able to play the Cherusci faction and see the political party names but not the characters![]()
After a look in the table launcher:
The starting vanilla character of the Cherusci Leobwin has units:
Have you deleted them?

Yep indeed I have, then I delete his trait, then his settlement, then finally himself as a general. Then I create three Germanic characters, a male and a female for the ruling party and a male for the council party. I make sure that the female has "Is male?" turned off and I assign the male ruler as progenitor.
Are the characters assigned to the capital or an army?
If you have done this too, we'll take a look at the creation process in the AK.

Yep, all are in the capital settlement and my ruler has a few units with him. It has to be the creation process in AK I'm thinking, if not something after.
Ok.
1. Did you choose only startpos.esf?
2. Did you click only Campaign/Process start pos (main_rome)? Don't tick clean working folder and mod.pack?
3. Process starts then Rome II
4. The startpos.esf is in Folder Working data / Campaigns/ Main_Rome!

Yes to all 4. Then I would open PFM, file > new, then right click on the untitled pack and create a directory to that startpos.esf right? That's what I've been doing at least. What do you usually do after that
Adding the tables for the political parties and the tables to unlock the factions.
Can you make Screenshots from your tables in AK? Perhaps i or others can see the error.

Also can't figure out how to post a pic, I try to copy and paste it into here and it shows up blank. Can't copy and paste it into URL either. Is there another way you can do that?

Maybe this is my problem, I've been importing the db tables in from AK, should I instead make them in PFM? If so, I cannot do the start_pos_factions (how you unlock the faction) because it's not in the data_rome2.pack file in TWR2 > data folder. Pretty sure you can only touch that one in AK.
Basically, PFM lets you edit these:
- political_parties
- faction_political_parties
- factions_tables
What do I do here?
You don't need to import the startpos tables from AK they will be transformed into the .esf by the AK. You should only recreate the other tables, you need for unlocking and the parties , with PFM.
You can upload them in a album on your profile here and then copy the link or upload them on sites like imgur and post the link here.

It's these three then right? Also, for these wouldn't I delete everything I'm not adding? e.g. I would create the 2 parties for my faction then delete the rest and rename my db file? Or would I keep everything and just add my two parties to the faction.
Your path is wrong, the right path is: Folder campaigns/ Folder main_rome/ startpos.esf and campaigns must be above db.
Your are doing it right with putting BP in front of your tables so you add your changes to the Vanilla table. The faction tables is also right as it replace the vanilla one.
Und you can use only one starpos at the same time.
