Marriage mechanics

Hey,

my current campaign seems to be a bit bugged: I get adoption proposals evers turn and my male family members dont marry (idk if there is a conncection). Anyways, does anyone of you know where the marriage mechanics are described and if i can either check them to gain insight what to do in the game to get the dudes married or change sth. to increase the chances of marriage?

The marriage mechanics are not in files, but the exe. It seems based on settlements to generals, if I recall 4 settlements to 1 general. I cheat and give Handsome&Fertile traits to my generals and leave them in settlements. It seems to help. Barbarians have many marriages when I play say Britons etc. Weird.
