Default What other units should get armour upgrades?

All due respect to the team, I think the potential of armour upgrades, as a way of showing the passage of time, are a wee bit under-utilised. Suggestions for which units should get them often get lost in threads dedicated to hypothetical new units, so I'm starting this armour-upgrade specific thread.

Personally I think any heavy, professional infantry unit should have a chainmail upgrade. Obviously that's a bit of a tall order, so here's just a few suggestions:

Machairaphoroi - the Sidon stele shows a swordsman in chainmail, and it would keep them relevant as line infantry in the late game (as opposed to thureophoroi, who are primarily flankers/semi-heavy infantry).

Kretan Peltasts - their recruitment remains constant throughout the game, so they're clearly intended to be used late-game. However they do look incredibly antiquated in the 150's fighting alongside the likes of Thorakitai and Thrakian colonists.

Peltastai Logades - same as above.

Thorakitai - personal preference but maybe they need one or two more chainmail models in the unit?

Galatinised Swordsmen - Maybe they start off unarmoured, then after Thorakitai reforms they become mostly chainmail-clad? Especially since presently the famous Pontic "imitation legionaries" (if you'll forgive the inaccurate term) have depressingly few chainmail-clad soldiers in their units.

Hoplitai - veering into fantasy territory here, but since KH continues to recruit its elite units as hoplites in the late-game, its not too much of a stretch that they'd re-equip their normal hoplites with modern armour? Particularly since Thorakitai are presently too few in number to adequately fill in for the depleted hoplite numbers after the reforms.

Spartiatai - pure fantasy of course, but a girl can dream....

Maybe the Gallo-Thracians, Thracians and gallic mercenary units like Dnieper Gauls for example in general.

Seem like a lot of attention has been given to southern eastern gaylord, it’s not really fair, dudes.
The Pritanoi’s roster or the entire west celt’s army is just a bit not adaptive to the late game situation. I mean you, as a human, play a Pritanoi campaign, after conquer Gaul, Spain, Italy, Gemarnia, and Greece, but your household’s troops are still a bunch of untrained, shirtless, wearing no helmet, walking barefoot, having absolutely no discipline, completely unreliable, on the contrary, allies and foreigners are exalted in every way. Not only I am talking about amour and melee combat but also projectile warfare.
    Here are some specific examples:
Pritanoi bodyguards: they are fine, but have no changes since the game start
arioi( noble footman) is the same with bodyguard
Pritanoi foot retainer and mounted retainer: have no discipline, a few models don't wear shoe, a lot models shirtless and no helmet, it is okay in the beginning but in late game may be try to wear more.
Irish, Scottish, Wales: have 0 armour (literally in their stat, it has 0 armour), no shirt no pant no shoe
Levied infantry(Toutanakoi, Uassoi): may be when your kingdom get super rich, your tribemen have more money to buy some thick clothes.
Germanic's roster have those same problems as above except kondamantes, eporeda donnoi boion (these 2 are perfect)
for projectile warfare: may be give those skirmisher some trainning, some sharper stick, like in late game slinger and javelinmen have 7 damage instead of 5, Pritanoi learns how to use bows

Maybe those ideas shouldn't be in official release of the mod, but this would be my request for a submod for a fantasy reality where unrational AI and you compete to win a fictional game of total war.
    Love u all.

I second this motion. Maybe the Pritanoi can get an armour reform when they take enough mainland provinces in northern Europe, and defeat enough Gaullish armies?

I heard they said that Prtanoi as a faction is still awaiting 2 late game units : heavy infantry and heavy cavalry, so hold your horses lads. Yes they are very light like germans aswell I sometimes wonder maybe they should have made their chariots stronger more accurate resilient to damage more hit points stuff like that.
