Can't wait, imo RTJ is the most fun mod. Maybe it's because of the map, i love maps and this is vanilla size but way more provinces(i don't like bigmap). But it's really good, i hope everything goes well. Goodluck![]()

Excellent. This will make things more interesting and fun. Keep up the good work. This is the best mod out there that keeps the game in the Medieval time frame (cause the best mod overall might probably be EB2, whenever it comes out.)
I think having England (normans), saxons, scots, dutch, and ireland all in a small area is a bit much. Maybe instead creating a faction in Timbuktu because it was a very powerful trading city during at least the later part of the medieval time. I think it could add an interesting new islamic faction that relied on economy and scholarship. This could also lead to expansion of african provinces and help prevent Sicilians from taking Africa.
On the map you can see Timbuktu and its trade and islamic roots. This could be like a southern denmark where they must fight "pagans" and expand south or try to defeat the larger moors. The city is already there so it only needs a little expansion south of a few provinces and maybe a few oasis forts.

And another thing, if game starts at 1067, didn't the saxons just get defeated? I think if there are going to be 4 factions in british isles (and flanders nearby) there needs to be much more, poorer, provinces to be spread around. And this will start before Manzikert so how will the Seljuks and Byzantines be portrayed? Just a few logistical questions
The saxons where already in the game thats why we put them in also. It makes playing the english better, If you play the saxons you can change history and not get defeated. And it makes the battle of britan more of a chalange. 4 factions fighting for one Island.
If you didnt notice we a new faction in every area of the map in spain (aragon), arabia (abbassids), the north (novgorod) and middle europe (flanders). + Ireland and Saxons cause will still hade place for some factions

First, for your proposal about Tumbuctu : I dont know yet if we may add a new faction here, but I already put the city of Kumbi Saleh between Arguin and Tumbuctu (former Ghana Empire capital). So this region of Africa wont be forgotten. Actually, improving Africa was one of my objectives.
England has been improved too and results seem good. There is place for Saxons (they are not defeated after Hastings, William took a few years to submit them all), AngloNormans, Scots and even independants, dont worry.
For Byzantines and Seljuks, my plans are to make situation as historical as possible. Basileus Romanes will be close to Manzikert with his army, as will sultan Arp Arslan. Even if the battle was fought a few years later than 1067, it should provide a good experience. Of course, the empire will be larger than before the defeat.

Is it ready?
Ooooh I'm missing the RTJ.
keep the good work!
Patch either just came out, or is about to, there is expected about another 2-3 weeks before another release, from what I understand.

I didnt red other posts so I dont know if it was mentioned...
The knights here are way better then other units...which means that if the enemy dont have knights the battle is mine, I dont think its that good... (and can u replay to the threads I opened?)

I think your refering to the sheild bug where spearmen couldn't stop cavalry to save their lives. And sometimes you should not abuse the ai by flanking with cavalry. If you make yourself fight the ai straight on:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx -ai
ooooooooooooooooo -human
Then the battles are much more epic and even. At least until the combat ai is quicker to react (remember how complicated med2 battles are, so don't just abuse the ai)
If you read some Medieval warfare, you would find that knights did dominate the battlefield for a long period of time. However, as the tech trees advance, every faction can counter then effectively.

I play at large, not huge
There I have 90 knights thatn can take a whole rebell settlement without loosing more then 5 men...I mean, I know knighs are strong...But 500(spearmen) kill only 5 of my knights?
@kobi118
wanst talking about how its in RTJ 2.2, I ment in RTJ 3.0 beta.
spearmen are weak against sword melee units (like in vanilla), you should know that

Listen, buddy, the best thing you can do is wait and check by yourself. Rammstein isnt moding without balancing it![]()
How will the hotspots work out? There will be three faction heavy regions: spain (4) England+flanders (5) Italy (4). Will there be a fair amount for each faction?
And, not a bug, just making sure that france will have a lot of rebel areas to deal with (robber barons a good example) so they can't just destroy the weaker english factions or aragon or flanders? That and will the moors be beefed up to fight against 3 catholic factions? (maybe more Morrocan cities)
And another thing, should the Sicilians/Normans invaders start around 1090 because Sicily was under muslim rule until then?, or should sicily have a Norman side and a strong rebel muslim side, so that conquering the island is delayed/recreated in a sense?
