Rome Remastered - Move Army in formation

Has anyone figured out how to make your army stay in formation in Rome Remastered? I have tried shift/ctrl/alt right click and everything else I can think of and they still break formation as soon as they move. Thanks!

You have to put them into a group and then a small button will appear at the bottom of the group that shows you the current formation--click this to change the groups formation--as well as a button for locking the formation in the shape of a lock.

If you hold down the ALT button you can drag a selection of units forward and they will retain their original position.
