Trade Units

On the trade screen, what do the numbers on each item represent? How much they are worth per unit? In the screenshot, I'm getting 80 something from trading grain with Rome.

It's probably the amount of that resource being traded.

that is the "dollar" value of all your trade with that faction for that item.

You can try to find factions your trading fewer items with, it sometimes helps you determine what the base price per unit is... You can use it to figure out what the base price per unit is, once you figure out how low it can go.

It's a pain in Rome 2, think they provide it in Attila.
