    Top 3 Fossil PCs:

I think we should have a TWC thread where members post their PC builds and using the userbenchmark scores of their builds I will mark the top 3 gaming rigs belonging to those TWC members.
For example my userbenchmark score came the following:
    • Gaming - 136%
    • Desktop - 94%
    • Workstation - 121%

    _________________
    Average Score - = {(136+94+121)/3} = 117 points

    UserBenchmarks: Game 136%, Desk 94%, Work 121%

Yeah doesn't make sense. Post the results and let us see. And see below:

When benchmarking make sure there are no background processes putting strain on the PC that would lower the score.

DDR3 and 4 are almost same in performance. It's probably your 1600 MHz frequency. These days we have upto 4000 MHz, so that's why benchmarks have higher thresholds of performance limits.
Back in the day 1600 was insane speed with 1066/1333 being the norm for several years.

And I'm also waiting for DDR5 RAM, which will launch\rumoured with Zen 4 in 2022. The switch will be similar to Ivybridge and Haswell. Which is when i bought my PC, DDR4 with i7-5820K instead of going for DDR3 with 4820K. It was a good decision.

Aye, that's my point, as DDR3 is maxed at 1600 and I don't want to upgrade to DDR4 now, which would mean a new mobo, cpu and RAM just to see it being replaced in a year or two

I missed this thread somehow, but isn't Userbenchmark known to be wildly pro Intel? Why not use CineBench and 3DMark scores instead?

Haha nice. 3080 is hard to find. Added your scores.

No I don't think so. It still shows 10900K at the top but if you rate them by '8-core pts' then AMD's Zen-3 is obviously at the top:
    https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/
So I think it's fairly neutral. 3D Mark is the best bench but I added this for easy online convenience. Then you have separate dedicated benchmarks like AsSSD, Crystal Disk for drives. Heaven\Kombuster for GPU. Prime 95 and Cinebench R15/20 for CPU performance. Like good luck to Intel trying to beat AMD threadripper in cinebench.
My aim was to keep it simple for TWC users.

Came up empty-handed until Newegg started pre-announcing drops in December. Looks like they've raised prices by $100 since then as well.

Smooth. And yeah prices are only gonna get worse.
Manufacturer can't provide enough stock, demand is high, then imports\china BS has also come up. And cherry on top is obviously the garbage of bitcoin mining and scalpers.

Yes, userbenchmark kinda sucks, but this is the most convenient and free I suppose.

Just learned today that the price increase is being attributed to a US tariff on Chinese electronics taking effect this year. That's probably what you mean by China bs.

It just can't get worse for PC gamers in terms of finding hardware. I was bored but not broke so I went for the Black Friday deals but still spent a ton. Was it worth it? I mean yeah, Attila runs like buttah now that I've got the graphics card of the future.

This just makes me feel that I've gotten luckier and luckier. I ordered the RTX 3060ti on December 13th, it was expected to be in stock by mid January/early February. I had it in my hands on December 23rd.

I was being nice Ishan. UserBenchmark is even banned on r/Intel. And I also think it's very disingenuous to say that the i9-10900K is the best CPU (which is what UserBenchmark says btw), when AMD is clearly outperforming Intel in quite literally, every single way.

Single-threaded, multi-threaded, productivity, gaming, Zen 3 is the best, yet UserBenchmark almost flat out denies it.

I mean whatever, I'm going to leave this alone because I'm not interested in Drama. For what it's worth, here's my current PC.

    Ryzen 7 5800X
    Gigabyte B550i AORUS PRO AX
    DDR4 3600 MHZ, CL16, 32GB G.Skill TridentZ (Not B-die)
    Radeon RX 6800 Reference (Non-XT)
ADATA XPG S50 Lite 2TB NVME SSD
    Corsair SF600 Platinum

I have a black Cooler Master NR200 with a tempered glass window and a dual monitor setup of a 1440p Dell S2721DGF 165hz IPS panel (LG's Nano Technology) with a much older Dell S2415H 1080p monitor that has a glossy display and a standard 60hz refresh rate.

    @LM
You and I are on the same page. I know it's weak, hell I doubt even the 11th gen would be able to compete properly against Zen 3. I already quoted far better and more accurate benchmarking softwares but I found no other convenient option to benchmark online.
This is a light hearted thread anyways.
