Rome Total War HQ Soundtrack Mod
I've made a small mod to get a much better sound quality out of the soundtrack, from the recent upload of the Rome Total War soundtrack in better quality by Jeff van Dyck.
Its my first mod, hopefully I didn't mess up! I tested it in my computer and it works perfectly
Features:
- Crisp, high quality sound, to enhance your enjoyment of the soundtrack!
- 2 Brand new songs for you to enjoy (Optional)
- It's also 17% lighter than the original 2004 soundtrack, so it could be ideal for a portable RTW if you dare delete the original Music.dat file. (Dont worry, the file will remain there when you install the mod and you can revert any time)
Downsides:
- A few files are missing the HQ treatment, notably 2 of the 6 campaign songs and all the Roman intro themes except the Scipii.
- One of the Battle songs had a Speech. I chopped the speech off, but you will still hear crowd noise at the start.
Install instructions
- DOWNLOAD the mod.
- Put inside your RTW folder.
- Right Click -> Extract here
- (Optional) Run newsongs.bat if you want to enable the 2 new songs.
- Enjoy!
