[Decision] Curia and Symposium update

My fellow citizens and peregrinii, much has changed in the Curia in the past years. Where the Curia was once elitist, obstinate and self centered it is now wise, friendly and inclusive. Where the halls of power and decision were once closed, now they are teeming with naked peregrinii selling potatoes and straw craftworks. Where a 12 headed Cerberus once sought to consume all who attempted entry, now stand common sense, openness and a growing community spirit. But, alas the site at large does not know this. They are blind to this better Curia which we all enjoy.

To signal this to the community at large, to make the Curia more attractive to all and considering the huge number of devians or former devians who have joined this great body in the past few years, and the many more who are currently on the road to becoming a citizen, I propose that the Symposium be renamed to the Elitist Thema Devia and the Curia be renamed to the Constitutional Thema Devia

Such a name change would also bring about a tighter closeness between the Curia and staff, considering that the TD has always been the prime recruiting ground for all branches of staff and anybody who disagrees should eat an apple instead.

Opposed for two reasons.


1. The Curia once had the purpose to be a place there citizens could propose improvements for TWC and back then only citizens could be a moderator if I am not mistaken, but that purpose is now long gone and will probably never return.

2. If this proposal excludes non-ctizens then I see no reason to even discuss it as lacks arguments of why we, the citizens, should even consider a change like that.


However, if this proposal includes non-citizens then there is something missing and what I am talking about is to open up the Curia main forum (Frunks comment on the last quote), not the subforums, to every member on TWC otherwise this proposal is pointless.
