Diplomacy: Reputation

    Default Diplomacy: Reputation

It seems that the reputation of my faction changes randomly, without reason. I usually play slow without making many enemies or betraying people, yet I jump from trustworthy (which I get from allying with everyone) to very untrustworthy. So does anyone know what controls your reputation? What makes it go up and what makes it go down? Just for once I want a campaign in which i can actualy use diplomacy (being untrustworthy, noone accepts anything from you).

Perhaps wealth and military strength make you automatically untrustworthy?

Bribing enemy armies can reduce you reputation

I haven't bribed a single person. I was considered untrustworthy when I was poor, and everyone else has supreme military power, yet they're still very trustworthy. This game is so flawed...

actually RTJ is not directly responsible for Dipomacy errors. RTJ 2.01 Lite used ultimate AI 1.1 final which isnt perfect, but better than vanilla. (are you sure you installed 2.01 lite mini patch?)

Yes, I am sure, maybe I should address this problem to Ulitmate Ai then. But could someone tell me what controls the reputation of your faction?

The only military help I offered was to Portugal against the almohads and I have attacked them relentlessly since.

    Taking over cities or castles.
I remember sacking.... so yea.. that has something to do with it.

It may also have to do with using spies to open up the gates.
