Nice win Joerock and Khuzaymah. I did a risky play with not enough testing and obviously it backfired, nice job in taking advantage of it. I'd like to resign this now if possible but if needed I can keep giving quick subs for syracuse/thrace as long as the other teams wish to continue

It was a nice idea to put those 2 stacks on the island. We were reloading that every turn with 1 stack, but even though we could bring in more hoplites every turn to make the odds 4:5 eventually, it was not enough to win. I guess once our ballista came out, you got a bit scared for Cercyra and that worked to our advantage.

If you have no interest to continue, there is no point to waste time for everyone. But even if you cannot win this match anymore, there is still a chance for the best 2nd team out of the 2 matches. Perhaps that is worth it for you or for the other team?

people are obliged to finish their match even if they are losing its in the rules of the tournament (if every player who feels he is losing dropped, then no match would even finish lol), if some people dont like such a rule then they should not have joined in the first place. The least thing people can do for the community is to finish their match properly...

Even if you were not interested to continue into the next match no matter the result of this, we still need to be able to decide which second team goes to the finals, hence each match needs to finish properly so that such evaluation can be made properly.

I'll finish out the match properly as Jadli said because of the tournament format. I'll admit I was a bit upset after losing the Syracuse 3 stack since it seemed to be safe in the tests I did but after a closer look the position overall could be salvageable enough to have a chance for 2nd place so I'll play for that at least as you said, but WP by you guys so far. Main reason I retreated from the 2x1 island was because I was worried that the armies would get stranded if I wasn't able to keep ships in Cercyra port
