Icon4 8 years in the making and still dissappointed

Since the day Rome II's trailer was revealed 8 or 9 years ago, I have always had one thing in mind. To buy this game and be able to play it with massive numbers.

I was in college back then and couldnt afford a rig, buit my first PC in 2015, and I couldnt achieve thew numbers I had in mind because, well you wouldve needed a pc from space at that time to get this game working with 40k units in a single battlefield.
and here we are in 2021 with a very and I mean very capable PC where (by the way) I was able to pull off and smoothly play a 40k man battlle in warhammer II. Yet I would couldnt do it on Rome II it was always stuttering ! the units are stuttering is was very annoying to deal with and play. I was very upset I even tried overclocking my CPU to 5 Ghz. I basically gave up and accepted what my friends told me about this game. That the game's engine is simply not capable to deal with such high numbers.

Unitl I saw one this guys videos : https://www.youtube.com/user/SergiuHellDragoonHQ

Apparently this dude who for some reason keep ignoring my questions is pulling off Rome II battles with numbers I couldnt even imagine of doing. We are talking 12k, 20k, possible even up to 50k in a single battle with him having somewhat if not slightly inferior specs on his rig than me

    his pc Specs :

    CPU: i7 7700K 4.2 GHz
Video Card: Titan X Pascal 12 GB (nVidia)
RAMs: Corsair 32 GB 3200 MHz
    Motherboard: Maximus IX Hero
    Liquid Cooler: Corsair H115i
    Power Supply: Corsair HX850i

    My pc specs :

    CPU: i9-10900k
Video Card: AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT
    RAMS: G.SKILL 32 GB TridentZ
    Motherboard: AsRock Z490 Extreme4
    Liquid Cooler: Coolermaster ML360R
Power supply: Seasonic PRIME TX-750 Titanium.

    with all that said.

Does someone know what the hell is going on ? got me depressed and frustrated. lol...

Totally feature less terrain and probably reduced unit\graphic details. And only two units. That reduces load quite significantly.

There is a limit how many units a player can control, so multiplayer sounds like a logical approach.
