What's the verdict here? Ironic coming from the other guy that's been late but I'm not looking to watch this hotseat die on turn 1. Can someone potentially reach out to Macrath on another platform? He hasn't been online since the 21st.

Boot Macrath and ask Uri if he wants in. He hotseated with me almost 10 years ago, he'll fit right in.

Well Macrath was looking forward to this HS he said. I would feel bad to start booting on the first turn without notice. I know, another way you can slice this, if his first turn is that delayed, maybe he shouldn't be playing.

I'm one for giving second chances. I would rather check if we can get in touch with Macrath and confirm if he will play or not. I understand Athelstan sent him a message on discord. I hope to hear from Macrath within 2,5 days. That would be the 1-week mark for his turn and result in a definitive replacement.

But until then, let's hope he comes back and confirms his commitment to this hotseat and being on time.
The trouble is, I can't go kicking players after not showing up for a few days. Probably some of you will also sometimes take a few days (too much) for a turn, but if I start booting everyone who did that, we would end up with a few too many subbed factions I'm afraid.

He hasnt been online on steam for a week, which is telling... I have been trying to get hold of Uri becase of something else for a few days as well with no luck... I think perhaps just sub this turn and lets see if either of them shows up for the next turn?

I don't mind providing an independent sub for Macrath to keep your hotseat moving forward if that's needed.

Uri would be fun, let's give Macrath until the weekend. If he hasn't responded to anyone by then I vote a replacement, one or two days late is understandable, holding the hotseat up for a week with no sign of life is something else. I would understand myself being replaced in such a scenario with no hard feelings.

I prefer to not sub a first turn. Players have to make their own plans for their faction and the first turn determines a lot for that.

Riverknight told me he has been in touch with Uri. Uri is willing, but also probably going on a long trip in about a month. So perhaps 3-4 turns he could play and then he would require a replacement as well.

I still hope Macrath shows up very soon, but in case he doesn't, do we have any other player which can take over the faction long term instead of only for a few turns?
