    I've written down a simple step by step tutorial.
    For producing classic TW mod unit cards (extracted units style).

    It is years that tons of TW mods are doing unit cards this way.
    There is nothing new in this process.
    Anyone with decent 2d skills is more than capable of doing this.
    But I'm taking the occasion where DeI needs some new ones and I'm writing down the process I use.
    Could be useful for noobs.

    Nice tutorial, though when I was making cards (for some abandoned mod projects) in that way I often had problem when the screenshot was not good enough, given that the in-battle weather can vary a bit, even in the same season and often I had to restart the battle till I got the ideal weather. Not sure how that affects your tutorial, or if all these shading stuff you do ends up compensating

    welll... sure, I've written in the tutorial to use a desert map/spring/need of having normal weather
    some weathers/maps won't let you the possibility of taking pics
