Well, to be honest, when your whole thing is "I am not Trump" your ratings would naturally decline as the acts of the person you are not fade into the past.

Indeed its entirely possible Biden himself will forget he's not Trump.

My ignorant impression is is that electoral politics is about anger surfing, and timing your electoral runs for moments when the voters on your side are angry enough to turn out, while your opponent's voters are too disgusted to bother. Biden's handlers may well be happy to bumble along botching things in the hope that enough can be blamed on Trump and (when the Republicans surge back in the midterms) Congress to get this crudely puppeteered corpse another term. Maybe the ice-cream is actually frozen embalming fluid, anyone checked that? .

The Federal Reserve is "controlling" the monetary system, not the US government. The same happens world wide under any government to varying degrees. Sooner or later they will all suffer under the devaluation of the lead currency. Central banks don't really have a choice anymore. Unfortunately they overestimated themselves and lost control over the inflation, as i have predicted a few months ago.

Neither Trump nor Biden would handle it any differently, because there is nothing to handle for them. It is not in their hands. The FED has the say at the end of the day and they virtually always messed up in history. The world is run by incompetent old farts who barely manage to incorporate the agendas of the big financial banks they truly owe allegiance to. They have no control over the inflation anymore, but they can't stop printing either or raise interest rates, because that would absolutely crash the economy, so they just shove their heads up their backsides and faithfully kick the can down the road, hoping nobody will pay attention.

Granted, Biden is a naive, well meaning fool who wants to be Obama². His infrastructure bill is only about 20% dedicated to actual infrastructural programs. The rest is about some carebear welfare nonsense that will never ever pay off, but gives lots of incentives for the FED to keep magically manifesting money that doesn't even really exist.

The future generations are so ed in every orifice with debts and a climate catastrophe closing in, it's horrible. Absolutely horrible.

No need to invent lizard people, though. It's already scary and hopeless enough.

And who allows Federal reserve and American banks to essentially fart USD out of thin air? Because that is what they essentially do, given how US has fiat monetary system, meaning that USD is only backed by consumer confidence.
At the end of the day, US government made those decisions in the past century that led to this.
You are certainly right that future generations will have to pay a hefty toll for the gravy train that our criminal elites enjoy today.

Biden administration's foreign policy agenda appears to be unnecessarily confrontational and counterproductive. Biden’s Summit for Democracy started today, with 100 + participants.

    "Notable" presences,
Jair Bolsonaro -only God can take me from the presidency.
Poland- perhaps a nod to its important role in NATO as a bulwark against Russia, according to analysts. The ruling party has targeted its independent judiciary.
Duterte, accused of crimes against humanity. The Philippines, an invited U.S. ally, has the third-lowest index rank of 15 countries in the East Asia & Pacific region, just above Myanmar.
    According to the Politico,
Bosnia and Herzegovina is not included in this summit. It is the only Western Balkan state to be kept off the list, while countries like Serbia and Croatia that fought hard for the segregation in Bosnia have been welcomed. Perhaps their delegates, together with those from the “backsliding” Poland and the Philippines, will now get to tell us what democracy really means.
As the Economist rightly pointed out, the list of the invited countries reflects American politics more than democratic values. Joe Biden's Summit for Democracy is not all that democratic

Pakistan has decided not to attend a US-led "Summit for Democracy". Interview: U.S. so-called "Summit for Democracy" tool to maintain hegemony
The so-called "Summit for Democracy" led by the United States is a tool to maintain hegemony under the guise of democracy, a Pakistani expert has said. This is going to further divide the world in different blocs at a time when countries around the globe direly need unity and cooperation for global development," the expert said. The United States is "no longer in a position to define standards or demand other countries to copy its model," he said, warning that imposing self-serving and self-proclaimed democracies on other countries would only create confrontation and undermine global peace and stability.

I’m not sure “wow the so called democracy summit really just means over half the 195 UN countries in the world support the US” is the slam dunk seem to be aiming for. Beijing of course added some levity with its counterproposal for its brand of “socialist democracy” lolol. Practically making our case for us.

The evil left...The Economist is not leftist.Or the Politico. Or, for that matter, the New Yorker,

The New Yorker asks,Biden's Global Democracy Summit Raises an Awkward Question: Can Ours Endure?

In the past year, the prospects for improving American democracy have dimmed considerably.

In March, not long after Joe Biden assumed the Presidency, Freedom House, a democracy-watchdog group, ranked the state of democracy in the United States well below that in Chile, Costa Rica, and Slovakia, citing gerrymandering, the influence of money in politics, and the disenfranchisement of people of color among the reasons for the poor showing.

This month, for the first time, the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance, a think tank based in Stockholm, added the United States to its list of “backsliding” democracies.

Indeed, in the months since Biden took office, the prospects for improving American democracy have dimmed considerably. Nineteen states have enacted thirty-three laws that make it more difficult for citizens to vote; a number of states have replaced nonpartisan election administrators with partisan ideologues; and Republican legislatures in states that have begun to swing toward the Democrats, such as North Carolina and Texas, have redrawn electoral maps to favor Republicans and effectively disenfranchise communities of color. Given the conservative composition of the federal courts, legal challenges to the new maps are likely to be unsuccessful.

Senators Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema, Democrats who are now the darlings of Republican donors, as the Times has reported, have indicated that they will oppose any change to the filibuster rule, signalling that they have more allegiance to a Senate rule than they do to democracy.

Democracy may be our civil religion, but it’s one that has always traded heavily on myth.
    --
    Divisive, confrontational, unnecessary.
'Challenge of our time': Biden kicks off 'Summit for Democracy'

Biden’s attempt to claim the mantle of leadership in democracy promotion amid a continued backslide in trust in the democratic institutions at home sits awkwardly for some observers.

Critics have also said the invitation-only event risks heightening ideological divisions at a time when global cooperation on a slew of pressing issues – notably climate change, public health, and nuclear non-proliferation – remains paramount.

the event’s guest list has sparked criticism of divisiveness, with questions arising over why some countries were left off the list and others with questionable right records were included.
Of the 197 countries graded by the group, only 39 were rated as open societies.

NATO is often cited as an organisation of democracies. ''Military backbone for democracy'' - NATO

Is it? Turkey wasn’t invited.Hungary is a NATO member. Hungary wasn’t invited. What’s NATO purpose? Sounds good on paper, “NATO's purpose is to guarantee the freedom and security of its members through political and military means”.Does NATO spreads democracy? hmm, not at all. if not, what is the purpose? (let's keep in mind that in 1949, fascist Portugal was invited to join the NATO). What do we have now, a new Cold War?
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

After Afghanistan withdrawal, Biden has changed the US foreign policy, from "promoting democracy" to "protect democracy". Protection of democracy starts at home,

In the year 2000, Madeleine Albright -in the unipolar world era - launched a Community of Democracies that continues to exist. How many of you are aware of its existence? the impact so far? once again, sounds good on paper, and that’s it.
Born as a common initiative of former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and Polish Foreign Minister Bronisław Geremek, the Community of Democracies was founded at the Ministerial Conference held in Warsaw, Poland, where high-level delegations from 106 countries signed the Warsaw Declaration Toward a Community of Democracies. Signatories pledged to uphold the democratic values expressed in the Warsaw Declaration and to support them through a variety of initiatives.

Some of the rhetoric around Trump eroding US democracy is overblown. Trump reversed decades of federal encroachment by restoring responsibility to the states, such as leaving it to the states to determine how to fight the pandemic. All that progress restoring decentralization was thrown away with Biden’s back-to-business approach, like an FDR-wannabe. Incidentally, it was FDR that began the process of turning America into a dictatorship of technocrats, where any matter could be “solved” with a heavy-handed federal intervention.

Trump was a demagogue, and January 6th was inexcusable, but during most Trump's tenure, he spoke more than he acted, which meant that he wasn't fiddling with the institutions. Incompetent and ineffectual cabinet picks also helped in that regard as well.

I think you are confused about this because of overton window. Neomarxists would view someone like Obama as centrist, much like a modern fascist would view Lincoln Rockwell as a centrist too. Its basically just pretending that your views are "normal", while they are not, not that it matters since centrist politics are de-facto dead.

Here's one of the latest handy charts breaking down the leanings of most well known media outlets

You will note that of the three mentioned by Ludicus as not being to the left, all of them actually are----with the
"New Yorker" rated the most left along with such lefty luminaries as CNN and the New York Times
However, Politico and the Economist are just left of center. You will see certain segments of some news organization
in two columns. For example the New York Times "news' is just left of center while the New York Times "opinion" is in the far left column

Same thing with the Wall Street Journal with their "news" being centrist while their "opinion" is just right of center.

    VERY interesting find Forward Observer!

    ************
    https://www.politico.com/news/2021/1...ryzDbDH0078Gk8

Democrats are losing their touch with Latino voters. (Politico is Left-Leaning according to the source of Forward Observer and I agree).

" 40 percent [of Hispanics] said Latinx bothers or offends them to some degree and 30 percent said they would be less likely to support a politician or organization that uses the term."

"Amandi, whose firm advised Barack Obama’s successful Hispanic outreach nationwide in his two presidential campaigns. “Why are we using a word that is preferred by only 2 percent, but offends as many as 40 percent of those voters we want to win?” Amandi emphasized that he wasn’t blaming the erosion of Latino support for Democrats merely on the use of the word Latinx. Hispanic voters have started shifting right for myriad reasons "

Amandi, wait till the deeply Catholic Latinos figure out that the democrats want their daughters to have abortions at a moment's notice and want to tell their kids that "you are not born a woman but you become one" and other progressive crap.
Without the "Fear the Orange Man!" stick, Latinos have fewer and fewer reasons to vote for Bidet and his ilk.

Allsides.com is pretty good, although it is relatively simple - probably on purpose. I quite like Ad Fontes Media's interactive charts: https://adfontesmedia.com/interactiv...ink_and_Button

Where you can filter by publication event (such as monthly magazine publication), broadcast type as well as opinion vs news for overall reliability scores.

Because of course, news that finds itself on the right, or the left, or is entirely editorial opinion, is not enough alone for it to be untrustworthy.
