Thread: President Biden's first term in office

The U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan was so badly handled that President Joe Biden should resign because of it, according to a majority of voters. However, most don’t think Vice President Kamala Harris is qualified to replace Biden if he leaves office.

Implying that deep state isn't using Creepy Joe as lightning rod, to be tossed aside in near future, although I don't think this plan will work out well given how Kamala Harris is probably even less popular, especially in her own state where she imprisoned countless innocents people of color for victimless crimes.

Multiple plane loads of Americans are ready to leave Afghanistan. The Taliban won’t let them. Thanks to the way the Biden Admin conducted the surrender, the US has no leverage. The State Department has said it will “hold the Taliban to its pledge” because “the international community is watching.” ing delusional.

The Dems plan to pay for their 3.5 trillion spending spree is to raise taxes and introduce new taxes; and these are gonna be whoppers. How about a plastics tax yall? Of course all these new taxes will require the hiring of 87,000 new IRS agents:

KABUL — The airport has reopened with domestic flights taking off after a team of engineers from Qatar repaired parts of the air traffic control system last week, according to the Taliban commander in charge of airport security.

But the Kabul airport was operating without radar or navigation systems, making it difficult to resume international civilian flights, a key step to enabling refugees to leave. The Qatari Foreign Ministry said technical officials had prepared the airport for international humanitarian flights.

The right is seething that they won't get an Iranian hostage crisis after all.

That has nothing to do with the American hostages. The issue in question is at Mazar i Sharif, not Kabul, and domestic flights are, uh, domestic. The flights have clearance from the State Dept. Taliban won’t let them leave.

"We know the reason why is because the Taliban want something in exchange. This is really, Chris, turning into a hostage situation where they're not gonna allow American citizens to leave until they get full recognition from the United States of America," he added.

CBS News reported after McCaul's interview on Sunday that multiple flights are being held on the ground at the Afghanistan airport by the Taliban.

The network reported that the State Department notified members of Congress in an email that the charter flights have approval to land in Doha "if and when the Taliban agrees to takeoff."

The Taliban claimed Monday to have conquered the last major opposition to its takeover of Afghanistan, routing remnants of the former Afghan military and others in the Panjshir Valley. No doubt the abandoned U.S. military equipment helped. Let’s hope the Talibs feel grateful—because the Biden Administration plans to depend on them for years to come.

Mr. Blinken says the U.S. will now work with the Taliban to get the remaining Americans and Afghan allies out of the country, and he’s optimistic. “The Taliban has committed to let anyone with proper documents leave the country in a safe and orderly manner. They’ve said this privately and publicly many times,” said the Secretary of State.

Meanwhile, the Taliban are entwined with other jihadist terror groups. Terrorism expert Seth Jones recently wrote on these pages that “the Taliban and al Qaeda enjoy longstanding personal relationships” and intermarriage, and “al Qaeda leaders have pledged loyalty to every Taliban leader since the group’s establishment.” In 2012 The U.S. officially designated the Haqqani Network as a terror group, and the Taliban has put them in charge of security in Kabul. Are the White House and Pentagon going to ignore that designation?

Stopping terrorism and liberating Americans trapped in the country are vital national interests. But there’s also the matter, which the Biden Administration keeps stressing, of how the Taliban treats women, girls and former opponents. The BBC reported on the weekend about a pregnant policewoman who was shot by Taliban militants in front of her family in Firozkoh in Ghor province. A Taliban spokesman denied responsibility, but local application of jihadist justice is a Taliban tradition.

By ”support” we assume Mr. Blinken means access to the country’s assets held abroad, including at the Federal Reserve. It also means diplomatic recognition, which could free up access to aid and hard currency from the International Monetary Fund and World Bank. This means that American taxpayers would in essence be financing al Qaeda and the Haqqani Network. We wouldn’t want to be Democrats on Capitol Hill voting on that one.

The White House would prefer that all this go away so it can think “happy things,” as Mr. Biden put it not long ago when asked about Afghanistan. But he can’t duck the reality that his failed Afghan withdrawal has put the U.S. in this precarious position.

    https://www.wsj.com/articles/our-fri...an-11630954075
First Biden surrenders to the Taliban, then rapidly retreats so quickly the pullout is months ahead of schedule, leaving them billions of dollars worth of weapons and equipment with which to crush the remnants of our allies. All the while, he willfully ignores the warnings and intelligence provided by his own Administration. After it’s way too late and the government collapses, he then sends back 2-3 times as many troops as he pulled out in order to secure a location to evacuate the Americans and allies he left behind. His Administration willingly offered the allied capital to the enemy, even when the latter first raised the prospect of letting the US take control of Kabul to conduct evacuations. Team Biden then increasingly deferred security of the airport, upon which the lives of American and allied civilians depended, to the enemy under the direction of a wanted terrorist, despite having thousands of US troops on the ground with drone air support.

The Administration admitted to sharing sensitive intelligence with the enemy “to stop terror attacks.” Credible accounts allege the Administration still declined to stop the terror attack that killed 13 Americans, specifically because acting on credible threats to stop that attack might have theoretically upset the enemy’s goodwill towards us. Paradoxically, Biden then had no problem authorizing rapid strikes to take out terrorists after they had already scored a devastatingly successful attack that was made all the more effective by the Administration’s insistence they ONLY needed to access the airport itself for evacuations, causing mass panic and packed crowds.

The Administration shared information concerning the names and details of American citizens and Afghan allies with the enemy “to help with the evacuation.” Biden then abandoned Americans to the enemy anyway, after promising not to do so, and has since “urged” them to let our people go. Biden’s Joint Chiefs Chair has even confirmed the prospect of “working with” the enemy to combat terrorism, when the Taliban has high profile links to terrorist groups, including the one that attacked us on 9/11. And now, to top it all off, Team Biden openly extends an offer of financial and other aid to the enemy if they swear on their honor as hostile anti-American jihadists to be gentle and not do us a hurting like they did for 20 years. The Administration refuses even to call the Taliban, the jihadist militants who waged a years long holy war on America and our allies, an “enemy.”

When asked whether the militant organization that just violently toppled the U.S.-backed Afghan regime and defeated its armed forces constituted a U.S. enemy or something more ambiguous, Sullivan replied, “Well, it’s hard to put a label on it in part because we have yet to see what they are going to be now that they are in control, physical control of Afghanistan.”

    https://www.nationalreview.com/news/...a-label-on-it/
Team Biden probably has a very good reason for being allergic to that word:

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

McConnell has already shut down calls for impeachment, with an eye on the midterms. This may prove the better political strategy, but leftist dominance of media and political institutions will also present a greater challenge to GOP messaging than even this historic catastrophe may otherwise communicate to the voters, once the initial shock has worn off. We’ll have to wait and see. As someone who supported Trump’s impeachment both times, I have to say I am shocked and appalled by Biden’s craven contempt for American people and American interests.

Democrats seethed for years that Trump was a morally bankrupt traitor if not a Manchurian candidate for appearing to behave in a deferential way towards an adversary of the US. They are now praising their Leader as the messiah of world peace for prostrating himself before an actual enemy at the direct expense of American national security. Biden must go. Austin must go. Blinken must go. Milley must go.

The GOP stood with Democrats to protest and hinder Trump’s destructive Afghanistan policies. When Trump began pulling troops, high ranking Republicans warned he was endangering national security and the stability of the Afghan government, placing bipartisan stipulations in the 2021 NDAA to try and limit his ability to continue. The Democrat Party, by contrast, has fallen completely in line with Biden’s wanton determination to demolish American national security and credibility. The Democrat leadership does not deserve the offices they hold.

Just like the boy blunder here in Canada, it seems that current presidential cabinet is a Beijing's fifth column. No other administration managed to destabilize and weaken USA in any of its recent history, including Nixon and Carter. At no time before, was it pushing one cynical edict after another, pitting societal groups and even government branches against each other. We already know that Biden and his son had strong ties with Chinese government and wouldn't be surprised if whole Democrat brass is now in Xi's pocket.

Welp, better shovel another pile of borrowed dollars into the economy to make Biden look competent in time for the midterms. At the end of the day, who needs to raise taxes on your donors when you can just let the Fed handle it? Yippee!

Democrats Float Partnership, Buyback Taxes to Fund $3.5 Trillion Spending Plan

Lawmakers have talked about a proposal as large as $3.5 trillion over a decade, potentially all paid for with spending cuts and tax increases. But they have struggled to find enough tax increases that have support among all Democrats. They might end up shrinking the proposal, borrowing some money or both.

This infrastructure bill is growing more and more worrisome. If the Democrats can't set up a clear modus operandi soon and mobilize enough skilled workers from all over the country, then this massive investment of historical scope will likely fail. It couldn't come at a better time of course, inflation is rising and rising... There is a whole lot of pressure on that thing to succeed and I'm certainly not the only one who is getting more and more nervous.

It gets worse. According to the New York Times, there was no evidence of a secondary explosion. This introduces the possibility that the administration fabricated the claim to give the appearance that a terror attack had been foiled.

"One pro-AQ magazine released today incites for more attacks with aircraft: 'Are we not able to repeat it?' she wrote on Twitter on Saturday.

Nobody will acknowledge the Taliban or cooperate with them. But there has to be some diplomatic approach necessarily. Nobody will go into that country again with infantry and simply kill them off (unfortunately). The Taliban is now a political factor and they have to be treated as such, whether anyone likes it or not. I don't think that stains anyone per se.

China is considering deploying military personnel and economic development officials to Bagram airfield, perhaps the single-most prominent symbol of the 20-year U.S. military presence in Afghanistan.

The Chinese military is currently conducting a feasibility study about the effect of sending workers, soldiers and other staff related to its foreign economic investment program known as the Belt and Road Initiative in the coming years to Bagram, according to a source briefed on the study by Chinese military officials, who spoke to U.S. News on the condition of anonymity.

A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry on Tuesday issued a carefully crafted denial of plans for an imminent takeover of the military airfield roughly an hour from Kabul, first established by the Soviets during their own occupation in Afghanistan and which at the height of the U.S. military presence there was its busiest in the world.

    https://www.usnews.com/news/world-re...bagram-sources
A few hundred miles from China and Iran, the strategic significance of Bagram is hard to overstate. Regardless of the timing of the plan, the fact it’s already being studied is further evidence that Biden’s surrender is the worst foreign policy disaster in a generation or more, and in more ways than one.

He should resign from public office, issue a written apology and detailed self-criticism, and donate everything he owns to BLM (pbut). Twitter and Facebook must also close all social media accounts associated with Biden and his family, and conduct a detailed review of their policies to find out how this information slipped past their censors, submitting a full report to Congress within 30 days. The family must also immediately vacate any public or private positions they may hold, especially paying ones, so that POC can have the chance to get the things the Bidens only obtained through white supremacy.

Federal, state, and local governments must guarantee stimulus checks, paid vacations and free, professional counseling to every single POC in the world, who has been traumatized by this news. More importantly, we as a country must collectively reflect on how it is that white supremacy is so ingrained in American society, millions of people along with the mainstream media, political institutions, and high profile celebrities all campaigned and voted vigorously to elect such a man to public office, even after reckoning with the Trump regime. Alas, even I, a POC, voted for this man, having internalized white supremacy myself. Amerikkka will never change. It’s too far gone. Biden’s direct complicity in the maintenance of white bourgeois power at the expense of the POC proletariat is just the latest proof.

As news comes of borderline treasonous behavior from the very top of the Biden Admin, we’re now hearing credible allegations Biden himself not only ignored but explicitly rejected advice from his own Administration echoing unanimous concerns from NATO about the (lack of) sanity and sustainability in Biden’s withdrawal plan.
The book explores Biden's determination to withdraw US troops from Afghanistan despite resistance from top advisers.

Woodward and Costa write that Biden's Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin both pushed for a slower withdrawal. After a March meeting of NATO ministers, Blinken changed his recommendation about removing all US troops.

"Previously, he had been foursquare with Biden for a full withdrawal," the authors write. "His new recommendation was to extend the mission with US troops for a while to see if it could yield a political settlement. Buy time for negotiations."

Blinken told Biden on a call from Brussels he was hearing from the other NATO ministers "in quadraphonic sound," or surround sound, that the US should leverage its departure to gain concrete steps toward a political settlement, according to the book.

    https://www.cnn.com/2021/09/14/polit...tan/index.html
The most direct confirmation yet of Biden’s central role in causing the Afghanistan fiasco. The picture that has emerged from Biden’s first months in office is the opposite of the clear eyed, steady hand of veteran statesmanship that was advertised. Perhaps Biden was always a fraud who rode others’ coat tails. Perhaps he’s simply not up to the challenges America faces today. But what we’re seeing also begs the question: is this level of willful incompetence the result of something worse? A perpetually irritable, impulsive, incoherent, confused and defensive President Biden who is inexplicably determined to make even the most obvious mistakes for sheer stubbornness may not just be a matter of personality. And it’s past time the country took things seriously.

In a recent study, Taragano et al7 followed a consecutive series of 358 patients for up to 5 years. The objective was to compare MCI and MBI patients and estimate the risk of dementia development in both groups. MBI was defined as a behavioral disturbance not meeting DSM-IV or National Institute of Neurological and Communicative Disorders and Stroke/Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association criteria for dementia, psychosis, or other major psychiatric condition, and also not meeting criteria for MCI of any type.

Examples of major persistent changes in patient behavior that can lead to a diagnosis of MBI are as follows: agitation, anxiety symptoms, apathy, aspontaneity, delusion symptoms, depressive symptoms, disinhibition, emotional lability, euphoria, impulsivity, indifference, irritability, lack of empathy, loss of insight, loss of personal hygiene, loss of social tact, oral/dietary changes, perseverant behavior, and sleeping disorders.

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3788702/
But consistent or increasing concern about your mental performance may suggest mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Cognitive issues may go beyond what's expected and indicate possible MCI if you experience any or all of the following:
    * You forget things more often.
    * You forget important events such as appointments or social engagements.
    * You lose your train of thought or the thread of conversations, books or movies.
    * You feel increasingly overwhelmed by making decisions, planning steps to accomplish a task or understanding instructions.
    * You start to have trouble finding your way around familiar environments.
    * You become more impulsive or show increasingly poor judgment.
    * Your family and friends notice any of these changes.

So Chinese helped neoliberals come to power in US via "most transparent and fair election in American history", who return the favor by sabotaging America's geopolitical position as world leader as well as relations with China's primary adversaries - India and Japan.
Americans were so busy staging "color revolutions" around Russia's sphere of influence, that they didn't notice the one happening in their very own country.
