Meanwhile Biden to send surplus AstraZeneca vaccine doses to Mexico, Canada

President Biden’s administration plans to send millions of doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine to Mexico and Canada, the White House confirmed Thursday, a development that comes as the U.S. faces a surge of migrants at the southern border with Mexico.
Press secretary Jen Psaki confirmed the plans, which were first reported by Reuters and The Washington Post, but said that they were not yet finalized.
"Our first priority remains vaccinating the U.S. population, but the reality is the pandemic knows no borders,” Psaki told reporters. “Ensuring our neighbors can contain the virus is mission critical to ending the pandemic.”

In a move embracing transparency by the Dear Leader Biden:
"The Biden administration is restricting the information Border Patrol agents and sector chiefs can share with the media as a surge of migrants tests the agency's capacity at the southern border, according to four current and two former Customs and Border Protection officials.

The officials say the restrictions are seen as an unofficial "gag order" and are often referred to that way among colleagues. The officials requested anonymity because they are not authorized to speak to the media about the topic.

Border Patrol officials have been told to deny all media requests for "ride-alongs" with agents along the southern land border; local press officers are instructed to send all information queries, even from local media, to the press office in Washington for approval; and those responsible for cultivating data about the number of migrants in custody have been reminded not to share the information with anyone to prevent leaks, the officials said.

Multiple news organizations, including NBC News, have requested access to or photos from inside overcrowded border processing facilities holding unaccompanied migrant children; they have been denied. The DHS press office released one photo late Tuesday of a mother and child undergoing a health screening inside a border facility, but no wider shots to show conditions or sleeping arrangements."

NBC contrasts this with the evil fascist Trump:
"At the height of the Trump administration’s child separation policy in June 2018, it allowed media to tour facilities where separated children were held."

    In other news:
"Dozens of young White House staffers have been suspended, asked to resign or placed in a remote work program due to past marijuana use, frustrating staffers who were pleased by initial indications from the Biden administration that recreational use of cannabis would not be immediately disqualifying for would-be personnel, according to three people familiar with the situation."

Biden is senile, there is no getting around that fact- the fact that he hasn't given a proper speech since taking office and is strangely silent in the sally from the Russian President gives fuel to the rumours that he hasn't got all his marbles and the nation is being led in different directions by court eunuchs.

(btw i am quite narcissistic so i do enjoy giving public poetry readings; my favourite is The Flea by John Donne)

I actually feel pity for Biden, he deserves better than this.
Well I suppose I have to wait for a scintillating reply.

He gave a national address just couple days ago. Has done interviews and a few town halls. I believe you must mean has not done a press conference with the white house press corps. Fine by me they are basically pointless and serve no particular use. The money spent on them could serve the 4th estate better in funding investigative journalism.

You might have merit comparing Biden to JFK if Biden was speaking another language but unfortunately for you, Biden was speaking Americanese.
My point was you can find presidents making gaffs in English... Also the man has an acknowledged studded he is going trip up words from time to time.

Biden does not have the votes in congress for a treaty - so any deal is just betting on his reelection (and than another democrat and another...). Iran is not run by fools and idiots so what possible reason would they have to return to the bargaining table?

There is no point anyway in even trying till after the Iranian presidential elections.

But from US perspective - why should Biden care or try now. He has (assuming some geezer democratic senator does not die) 2 years to actually govern. That means that the vaccine roll out, economic recovery and seemingly an infrastructure package are vastly more important than Iran to front load. Biden could announce tomorrow that the Iran deal was fully reestablished and I am pretty sure not one vote in any competitive house or senate seat for a democrat would shift one notch. Same really if he announces he brokers a peace deal in Yemen. Or convinces China to roll back its 'reforms' in Hong Kong... The Iran nuclear did Obama no favors and reviving will do Biden none in fact it would be a morass since it will drive Israel and the House of Saud off the road so a head ache in any direction.

Frankly Biden is not looking daft but competent in ignoring it. There is no percentage in it for him vs hopefully two years potential for domestic policy which will be key in 2022.
Interesting that you're effectively admitting that Biden is prioritizing his own political interests over the country, but you still don't see him as a figure worth criticizing.

    That is a weird take.

I suggested he prioritize his domestic agenda. Which he clearly believes will help the country. He is doing the things that are what he ran on and got elected on. I than pointed out the Iran Nuclear Deal is basically chump change. Its divisive both inside the US and across the range of US allies and quasi allies in the region. It would be very difficult to reestablish in the current political climate. Thus I can't see how he ruined it. It was ruined by Trump. No Iranian leader is likely to believe any negotiations that do end in a formal treaty and right now its clear (just as it was under Obama) that cannot be delivered. BUt on first go around the US had not abrogated the agreement out petulance. I simply see no advantages to putting any effort into restoring the deal. Nor do I much care if Iran wants to wallow under sanctions and strive for a nuclear weapon. Stupidity but nothing I'm loosing sleep over.

So much for the US being respected on the world stage.

First Putin challenges Xiden to a debate; a clear reference to Xiden's cognitive decline.

Now the Chinese are talking down to US diplomats on our own soil at the talks in Alaska:

What crap analysis. Both sides were pretty hard core in public. I really can't say there is a thing in the world I would look to Tucker to provide analysis about - if he told me the sun was rising in the east I would double check. Yes China ran out a bunch of attacks and the US responded in kind. More or less each side made it clear they were not at the moment looking to play kiss up. Maybe things went smoother when the doors closed but I assume both parties were content with the name calling being public because both sides called the for the press to stay.

Neither side was speaking to the other in those public confrontations. They were talking to their own domestic audiences.

The real talk happens out of public view, the reports are that conversations were "tough and direct talks on a wide range of issues and that is exactly what we had" (Jake Sullivan)

They also noted that they had commonality on a number of issues that BW will no doubt see as a conspiracy - E.g. Climate change.

I would agree. Although it is fair to say the public comments were surprisingly harsh.

Definitely. But the domestic US audience currently needs to see tough action on China. They've been primed for it for years, and the GOP is literally hunting for ways to make Biden look weak on China. Case in point... B.W. and his President Xiden mantra.

Trump was such a disaster that the GOP's sole viable tactic left is desperately trying to resurrecting McCarthyism by telling their serfs to repeat "Xiden" over and over. What else do they have left to run on? Having more racism? Restricting voting to wealthy white Republicans only? Letting car makers get away with making cars that explode at the slightest tap again? The rich paying even less taxes than the pittance they pay now?

Is Xiden a pun on Xi's name? Lol I thought it was some "weird pronouns scare me" joke or maybe a "reptilian alien" joke. Do you pronounce it Zee-den or Zy-den? Or (god forbid) Ex-i-den? I mean Yanks say "Ecks-ay-vier" for Dr Xavier, so anything is possible with these people. As nicknames go it's pretty ****.

I mean its hard getting a good nickname to stick, I coined the perfectly appropriate "Annoying Orange" for some turkey necked failure but no takers. Its hard being an artist in this world I tell you.

Its a pretty weak joke really as far as I can tell its basically the Chinese government was once communist (but is now just an oligarchy a point ignored). Since the Democrats actually what run the us government effectively and not just appoint right wing judges and cut taxes they are socialists. If socialist then we all know they are really secret Communists thus Biden = Xi - QED. Although the logic is weakened by Biden not being in the party wanting to suppress votes or make jokes about 3 terms....

Yeah, i guess Wall Street, Warren Buffet, Charlie Munger, Jeremy Grantham, etc. are lacking understanding then, sure.

The US market is at very high risk of inflation, a market crash and in the end possibly hyperinflation.

What many don't understand is that this is not yet felt in the prices of common consumer articles, because the inflationary policy of the Federal Reserve gets swallowed whole by the stock market, as I said before.

The credits the New York Fed grants to major Banks, like Goldman Sachs, is not being distributed to Jane and John Doe but is immediately being invested on the stock market, which artificially inflates market indices, which in turn causes aggressive speculation.

This is exactly what is going on since 2008, but it got a lot worse since corona has hit, because of the sharp increment in national debt that has been necessary to fight the economical damage caused by the lockdown.

Almost 40% of all existing dollars have been printed during the last 10 months.

There is nothing anyone can do about it anyway, I think, since congress or the US government has no control over the Fed. The USA simply sucks!
The power over the money supply should be in the hands of the US government or congress! If this state of affairs is deemed constitutional, then the US economy is pretty much doomed, because it's in the hands of a private institution that is hardwired to think exclusively short-term.

The neo-tard media claims the wind did it. It shows just how blatant the neo-tard media's disregard for the intelligence of its readers goes. The plane is always parked so that the body of the plane creates a barrier. As someone who did a bit of flying for a while as a youngster I can say that this is flying 101 and it doesn't matter what you're flying. All pilots are aware of ground wind and speed direction when landing.

Does anyone remember Trump's hair ever being even ruffled when exiting the big plane? The answer is a resounding no. Maybe Xiden replaced the pros flying the big bird with amateurs...that would be consistent with his staffing choices.

Of course there are those left-wing conspiracy theorists who claim Trump got the secret hair spray formula from Queen Elizabeth back in the 80s; the Queen being renowned for perpetually unflustered hair. If that is the case, it may well be the last great un-leaked secret of the illuminati; a secret so prized by the old and graying European aristocracy whose old, balding men go to great lengths to keep their toupees from blowing away that they will go to great lengths to preserve it. Trump managed to keep the secret by not revealing it to the notoriously leaky US national intelligence apparatus...much to their anger; they have old balding men also who would love to get their hands on the secret.

Xiden's diplomatic team opened the door for the CCP smack down rebuttal by insulting the CCP before the talks even began; the same sort of thing happened when Xiden called Putin a killer. Diplomatic aces these people are not.
