Default Best way to counter Veteran Greek armies as Rome?

So, long story short playing a slow campaign as Rome, taking it easy and now going after the Greek states but after years of turns their armies are at like silver and gold chevrons and my Marian Legion armies just don't do anything to them. Even flanking, cycle charging with cav, skirmishers, etc. isn't doing much. ESPECIALLY Sparta my GOD. Its a grind fest and overtime time the Greeks will win the fight. There has to be an easier was to defeat Greek veteran units as the absolute power house which is Rome lol.

Best way to break a AI heavy greek phalanx, have a very strong front line that holds them off, Greeks are excelent at defending, not so much at attacking, then heavy cav from behind or elephants, and if they are defending then simple, lots and lots of javs.

First, don't play with battles above normal or any battle balance goes to thrash due to hardcoded AI buffs.

Read my posts from this thread, they explain how to make phalanx armies easiest enemy type to beat outside of levies.
