If you use the wrong number of votes, please send a private message to the competition organiser before voting ends,
indicating which submissions you wanted to vote for.

If you use the wrong number of votes and do not contact the organiser before voting ends, then none of your votes will count.

    Advertising

Advertising of the competition is allowed. Inviting people to vote for their favourite AAR is okay.

Asking for votes for a particular submission is not allowed and will result in disqualification.

Breaking the rules will result in measures at the discretion of the Writers' Study Staff.

    Submissions

Submission 1 Toutatis Favours The Brave

"The story of the Nervii continues. Boduognatus and his warriors have survived early challenges, but their future is still not set in stone. Prophecy says four men are destined to decide the fate of all Gaul, and it is said that Boduognatus is one of them. But prophecy is a fickle mistress.... The war with the Suessiones may be over, but already new threats come thick and fast to test even the bravest of the Belgae. The Remi, a tribe known for treachery and deceit, have entered the Nervii's newly gained lands uninvited. But what do they have planned? What danger could a Suessione's hurt pride and dissent within Boduognatus's own chieftains pose to the Warlord of the Nervii? And where are these mysterious coins coming from?"

Submission 2 Derc Plays Through World History

    The Writer's Study...
They would rather lay in bed than to enjoy the stuff gained by their internet connection.

My AAR goes on. The chapters grow long and the fans grow hungry. The mob demands pictures.

I will be outnumbered. The compression of my pics stretched to the breaking.
    The critics?
    Merciless.

TWC expects defeat! Yet the mods favor the bold.

Campaigns MUST be divided! Sectonized! The map CONQUERED! I will trade your bandwidth for +rep!

    Submission 3 Written in Sand

During his short life Alexander carved an empire out of the east, but within only years of his death his generals had shattered that sprawling realm. Now they fight like dogs over scraps, taking what they can, and in the shadow of their petty rivalries other powers are seeking to rise.

In the deserts of Arabia the Nabati have begun binding the tribes together, to create a vast confederation that might stand against the over-reaching Greeks. Mun'at Ha'Qadri, foremost general of the Nabati has already brought numerous clans into the fold. He has used words, gold, and brute force to bend the wills of the proud desert peoples to a single purpose, the defense of Arabia. However, while he goes about his noble purpose, the Saba', new allies of the Nabati, are facing a civil war in their lands. Mun'at will not aid the Saba', and in the knowledge of that fact, the Saba' Queen Mubsamat is doing everything in her power to break the rebels' might.

Submission 4 To earn a Kingdom

To earn a Kingdom is the tale about the Northern Dúnedain and their rise to power. The war in the North is over and our heroes set out on a even more perilous quest to save Middle-Earth. Eldarion takes the lonely road south, following Anduin the Great. Having reached Nen Hithoel, the Prince has made his choice to go West. But not all is well. Upon entering the horse-kingdom of Rohan, Eldarion is captured by the Rohirrim who think him a deserter. They bring the Prince to Aldburg where he awaits the judgement of the Third Marshal.

    Good luck to everyone!

Voted and a belated Happy New Year to everyone. A difficult choice as ever, even when I only have to choose from 3 because of discounting my own entry. Good luck.

    All the Best,

    Welsh Dragon.
