    We might have gone overboard with the Timurid strength in the current version. So be prepared, it will be very hard and almost impossible in open battle. In the next version we will tone down their strength.

    I have not upgraded any of mine yet, in my mind I considered bastions and cannons being an expense that my Tzar cannot afford

    I think they are fine. I'd give them less elephants and less Rockets, but they are supposed to be a challenge. In my Ottoman campaign they conquered up to Bolu and besieged Iznik, but i managed to fight them off there and then expel them. Took like 15 years to really finish them off, but it a cool experience.

    that's why i need those cannon towers works since my usual strategy of beating timurids is on defending cities or fortress

    In 1.4 bosnia gets italian peasnts as reverd for a mision.
    Serbian tovn Ras after rebbelion has 6 units of cuman horse archers !

    Well there were some Cumans in Serbia. So they might have acess to them trough mercenar barracks.

    Yes reward units in 1.4 are kind of random. I am sorry you got peasants. Maybe you get knights next time. Than again knights cost a lot. Perhaps you got saved from getting bankrupt

    For some reason, on Windows 7, I cannot get the mod to start. Fresh M2TW install, fresh install of Tsardoms 1.4 beta - it just gives me a fatal error at start.

    Any ideas?

    (on Windows 10 it works fine)

    Is it possible to extract music files from data/sounds to edit soundtrack?
    I've put sound extractor on main file, run it but in data/sounds music files are only one
    on main screen.

    Few people know this, but this is actually not a bug. The Knights Hospitaller were well known for their ability to use their swords in such a manner. It is one of the reasons they managed to hold at Malta, because they used this trick at the most important moment and the Ottoman army fled in fear

    I installed the latest version, but when I start a new campaign, I am not getting any of the welcome messages or the message about difficulty settings. Any idea how to fix that?

    Seems like campaign script didnt parse. Can u search "campaign_script" in the log? Yesterday i had similar problem when i installed one of the sound submods - game couldnt find a Roman coronation sound and because of that couldnt generate script.

    I tried installing the native sounds so that could be it. I will reinstall and hopefully this will fix the issue. Otherwise, this might be the first and only time in history where Ottoman and Timurid invasions NOT occurring causes a lot of grief.
