    On a separate but related note, I've noticed before that the Golden Horde (1345) and Crimean (1448) campaign map characters don't audibly respond to being clicked on (they just don't say anything). These hurt in particular because I always enjoyed the Med2 Mongol voice lines


    On another note, I've noticed that in the 1345 Campaign that the newer factions (Bohemia and Bavaria) are lacking victory condition map art:
    Nope we don't have a sound person. Anything that is sound related like voices, music etc. isn't fully optimised.

    And for the victory conditions we need a 2D artist, will look into it.

    I have a problem with the fall of constantinople.im playing as austria and i sieged strassburg and the defenders sallied out in ai turn so i fought the battle and won but after dismissing the battle report the screen goes black and say critical graphics error and crashes everytime even though the graphics aerent that high. Moreover when i apply the large address aware and start the game it shows error and doesnt start.i have to end up install the application file again to open the game.so any solutions?

    Take a look in log. Probably there's something in there that could be useful.

    Sorry im a braindead person so cant figure out what these are saying but the log is showing some files missing like venice and milan etc but i think i installed it correctly so why would there be missing files?
    But my guess is it is crashing because i cant enable the 4gb patch. But when i select the application file with it the application file only gets corrupted showing error and cant enter.
    So i have to copy the application file in another file and then paste it in the medieval folder again replacing the corrupted one and it works again but doesnt enable the 4gb patch

    Yes, Im using steam, and I enabled 4gb with tool included in Fall of Constantinople "Large Address Aware.exe" applying it on "medieval2.exe".

    Ok the problem earlier is fixed.looks like i didnt enabled the 4gb patch correctly.
    But I am playing as austria and conquered Wurttemberg,bavaria,switzerland and all the rebel settlements too. Even though i got the title of herzog von wurttemberg after spending 1 turn in stuttgart by faction leader frederick III but still didnt get the title of duke of swabia after spending some turns in stuttgart by my faction leader even though I have the other required minor titles among my vassals. Any idea why its happening?
    Btw i got the holy roman emperor title too

    Does anyone know how to get back the Megas Doux ancillary title? Unfortunately Notaras died.

    Hey there - installed the mod & really enjoying it. However I notice there aren't any unit flags / banners? I have show_banners set to 1 in the config file, but the lack of banners definitely makes figuring out who is who in the battle....much more confusing. Thanks for any help!

    I thought I was decent enough at TW but how are you supposed to deal with the Ottomans as Albania. Their archers all outrange the ones you got and I do not know of any way to defeat horse archers beyond having your archers kill them wich I just dont find possible with them outnumbering and outranging you. Am I supposed to turtle in Kruje till they leave. Im referring to the 1448 mod.

    I guess you are supposed to lose so Austrians, Venetians and Hungarians can have their share of fun. I am not sure what best advice for Albania would be but its surely very challenging. In my Bosnian campaign I tried to occupy parts of Serbia before Ottomans could and then just defended towns, sieges make enemy cavalary and archers less effective.

    Really in love with this mod, so hats off! That said I noticed one (or a few depending how you look at it) bugs with Firearms units.
    1) Audio bug: whenever a gun unit fires (excluding cannons) - you can hear arrow noises if you zoom in on the unit.
    2) Audio bug: No impact sounds from bullets. Even when shooting heavily armoured targets there is no impact sound for units under fire getting hit/dying.
    3) Visual bug(?): Only early handcannons from the 1345 portion of the mod have visible projectiles. I understand this may be a design choice for realism, but I thought I'd mention it in case it's not intended. If it is intended, I'd advocate for visible bullets on the basis that it looks cool
    Thanks again for making one of the best, if not the best vanilla conversion mods for Medieval 2, and that is not a low bar by any means!
    P.S. If you have any advice on how I could fix the above issues myself I'd be eternally grateful.

    Playing as Wallachia in both base Tsardoms and Fall, attempting to build the second level of Ragusan Trade Colony causes the game to crash. Right clicking the icon instead causes a blank white screen to pop up which then causes further instability with icons glitching out visually, crashing shortly after. This has persisted over several clean reinstalls and seemingly only affects Wallachia.

    Also applies to Moldavia, using the city of Chilia as the testing grounds

    I've been having this problem as well in the Fall of Constantinople mod, playing as Florence and fighting Italian rebels who are sallying out from their city. It's happened like 5 times in a row, now.

    I saw someone else mention that it seemed to be happening when cavalry get near to skirmishers? But I have no idea if that's actually the case.

    I am using the 4gb patch btw. I patched both kingdoms.exe and medieval2.exe.

    I've attached my log file.

    Actually, I'll add my save file as well, since it happens every single time. Just click end turn and manually play the battle that happens on the independent factions turn.

    edit: been reading this thread a bit more, and it might be due to me using the faction heir in battle? I'll try the battle out again after sending him away...

    ok, that worked! i'm glad i didn't give up on this cool mod :]
