Thread: Using multiple mesh and texture reference simultaneously

Default Using multiple mesh and texture reference simultaneously

I haven't seen as many answers as questions on this section, but here I go:

Does anyone know if it is possible to have multiple mesh and texture reference for the same part in a single unit?

To be more clear, I'm looking at modifying Napoleon's open grey coat by making the torso transparent (using the alpha channel) and at the same time make him wear another uniform underneath. This would make it much easier to actually edit whatever is under the large open coat.

This would require me to use two different mesh and texture reference for the variantmodel's torso at the same time.

Thanks for your help, fellow modders

    Solved!

Simply add the reference under another (unused) model (ie. shoulders, let's say). With the right editing, there is no clipping issue and everything works fine.

You can see my result for my own version of the "Chasseur Ã* pied de la garde". If I have the time, I may retexture Napoleon himself.
