    Default does this mod affect MP?

    Wandering wether you are still able to play the vanilla game in MP with this mod installed
    without problems. And has anyone tried it?

    Yes you can. Just run M2Tw using the Medieval II Total War icon on the desktop and you will be able to play mp fine.
