Thread: A mod like Stainless Steel 6.4 but set during Roman era?

Default A mod like Stainless Steel 6.4 but set during Roman era?

I really like Stainless Steel 6.4. I would like to play a similar mod for roman era. I have seen a couple of mods like EB2 and De Bello Mundi, but they seem to be packed with scripts and the like. EB2 has a very nice map, but I don't like the mechanics and crippled pace. I really don't want something complicated: just a normal mod that brings Medieval2: Kingdoms engine into Roman era without fancy, complicated scripts that force me to play in a certain way. Is there something like it?
P.S. This is my first post so I apologise in advance if I end up posting it in the wrong place.

If you don't like EBII, then maybe DBM would you fit better. But it's also not a very simple one.

If you want to play a historical mod in the medieval setting the best are:
Stainless Steel Historical Improvement Project and Broken Crescent.
Recently, Tsardoms and TGC look also very good. Read my opinions on the other mods here.

I have seen De Bello Mundi, but doesn't isn't it very script-heavy like EB2?

Difficult to define 'complicated', the 'reward script' in the 'americas' campaign was pretty complicated and yet had a simple effect - your best bet will be to simply try mods.
The Invasio Barbaorium series should be worth a try as well.

Well, Stainless Steel is not script heavy (does it have any?). I want a mod with lots of factions and plenty of action. I wish there was a submod for EB2 that would have a faster pace (and, ideally properly colour-coded units).
