Indeed the US support for foreign regimes of a less than savoury nature isn't really a specific charge against the right or conservatives, its the price of being the Superpower. I mean I hate the support for the Saudi regime but I see why the US does it (it keeps the Arab world divided by having scum in charge of the holy places) and its hardly the preserve of the Bush family or the Republicans, eg Obama managed to stay out of the Saudi's way while they raped Syria.

Likewise support for Israel is mostly bipartisan. Nice to see the much derided AOC behave more maturely and moderate her pretty glib and silly opposition to Israel in her voting recently.

Trump admits that he called Governor Kemp and tried to pressure him to hold a “special election” to just give him the win anyway.

Audit proved that thousands of ballots were fraudulent, in numbers way higher then the difference in votes between the two candidates, on top of many other violations and irregularities. If this is revealed in other states and counties, it can and should be viewed as reason to question the legitimacy of the election and the current US government.

Saudis have F-you money, they wouldn't be any better behaved if they bought their weapons from Russia or China. If anything, the US has a better chance of influencing their policies as allies, though no administration has really made much of an attempt to do so. Biden has made some effort to distance himself from the Saudis publicly, although that doesn't mean much in practice:

Prince Khalid bin Salman, the son of Saudi King Salman and brother of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, meets with State Department officials Wednesday on a trip to Washington that the White House would rather not talk about.

Prince Khalid’s visit was not publicly announced by either U.S. or Saudi officials and is the highest-profile visit by a Saudi official since the Biden administration declassified an intelligence assessment surrounding the killing of the Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi by a Saudi hit squad in Istanbul in 2018. On Tuesday, he met with U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin; Gen. Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.

Pariah no more? There is nothing unusual about a representative of a U.S. regional partner meeting with U.S. officials. (Prince Khalid is Saudi Arabia’s deputy defense minister.) However, the lack of fanfare underlines the Biden administration’s wariness in dealing with a government that then-candidate Joe Biden promised to treat as a “pariah” for human rights abuses, chief among them the killing of Khashoggi, a U.S. resident and critic of the Saudi government.

In 2018, Prince Khalid was serving as the Saudi ambassador to Washington—at 29, the youngest to hold the position. In public interviews shortly after Khashoggi’s killing, the prince repeatedly denied Saudi involvement. A CIA intelligence report later alleged that Prince Khalid called Khashoggi personally to assure him of his safety before he entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul—an assessment the Saudi government denies.

A recalibration? Biden initially held true to his promise that “America will never again check its principles at the door just to buy oil or sell weapons,” when he announced a pause in proposed weapons sales to the kingdom; the decision will likely be watered down to a suspension in the sale of air-to-ground offensive weaponry.

Yes he's a business-as-usual hypocrite, so its hardly a charge against Conservatives that they pander to Saudis: money talks, and it talks all languages.

FWIW the US didn't invent the Saudis, they were largely fostered by the UK. In my view its probable (but unprovable) that the US has tried to keep them on a tighter leash than the UK would have.

They are still scum, and I hate that realpolitick requires we treat them like something other than hyenas in human form.

Tfw a “how to do capitalism” promo actually makes it sound like a scam/cult. Like, how bout we get rid of first class/business class/class, and then the rich will be forced to improve conditions in coach since they have to sit there. Then again, maybe that’s why I’m poor. Lolol.

So, why couldn't Trump's officials prove it despite Trump having put a crapton of judges on the bench? Why wouldn't republican governors and legislators not been able to prove it ?

Why because everyone is against poor Trump of course. He's simply too good for this sinful world.

In other news, Trump all but admits the capital attack was an attempted coup and he was directing it. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...ry-records-sue

Because they are corrupt and easily manipulated, just like anyone else in higher echelons of American state. Same reason why Gore got boned out of presidency in 2000s by Bush, despite the fact that Clinton was appointing judged before this or why Biden's generals are now piling up against him.

That's the opposite of a rant, though, the legislatures and judiciary (right and left) seem to have observed correct form here.

I think criticism of Trump belong more in the liberal rant thread, I mean they practically elected him by putting Bill Clinton's Mrs up as their candidate. If she wasn't good enough for him, why would she be good enough for the US? Likewise Trumps lifestyle (whores, probably drugs, fast money in New York) reeks of the Liberal elite.

The Conservative side were jimmy rustled into picking him as their candidate, so there's that, but they got the satisfaction of hi ruslting everyone's jimmies.

Frankly Trump is a sign of the overall sickness of the electoral system, not one side or the other.

    Really? Really?
All of them, all of the people the "only the best people" swamp-draining Trump appointed in such positions and all the governors and state legislatures, all of them are corrupt and easily manipulated?
Then Trump was a complete idiot, wasn't he?

Also, if a massive fraud that produced the 100K+ votes needed for Trump to lose the election took place under Trump's nose and there's nobody that can prove a single allegation of this after four years of Trump in the Helm with Republicans holding the senate and the house for 2 years then Trump is worse that just a complete idiot:
He is dangerously incompetent, to the point of poisoning the entire electoral process and being unable to place anyone to defend it.

We're not talking about Trump winning some and losing some and still ending up losing the election. Trump lost every one of those cases.
How freaking stupid and incompetent could he have been?

The fact that courts ignored the evidence isn't surprising, there are plenty of examples in history where appointed screwed their appointees at some point. Heck we see the exact same thing with Biden, as his own generals are now shifting the blame to him for his failure in Afghanistan. Loyalty is an empty word in modern American establishment politics.
What is important, is that significant part of population doesn't view Biden's government as legitimate and electoral process in general, which in the end of the day constitutes a far bigger damage to the globalist deep state then even two more Trump's presidencies. We can already see that with half the country telling federal government to off. Democrats "fortified" the election just to be humiliated by Taliban and then to be held responsible for what is fixing up to be the biggest economic crisis since 1929.
So all in all, Trump still gave the establishment a "kiss of death", so to speak: it will never be GOP vs Democrats anymore, but people vs the establishment. There will never be a return to pre-2016 globalist status-quo.
Populism is here to stay and it will reshape America and the West.

No no, see, Trump is just an innocent who is so pure and good he could not conceive of the depravity and dishonesty of everyone in the world but himself.

Trump could be the most evil person on Earth and it still wouldn't change the fact that America has a problem with its corrupt and treasonous ruling class, with or without Trump. The constant "but Truuuuhmp" whataboutism is more of a TDS symptom then a rational counter-argument to that.

True, but let's not pretend that Trump didn't lose the election fair and square or that there was any serious attempt at electoral fraud. Trump lost because the majority disagrees with him and his views and prefers a more moderate and less belligerent person.

Let's stop pretending that American 2020 elections were legitimate even by third world standards. Observers were prevented from, well, observing, courts refused to see evidence and audit in just one county proves that amount of fraudulent ballots greatly exceeds the disparity between two leading candidates, Democrats resist audits themselves, and then we have mainstream media itself admitting that establishment had to "fortify" the elections to prevent population from not electing Democrats, which we can safely take as a confession.
The silver lining is that more population then ever before no longer trusts the system. Democrats may have cheated their way into power, but not without undermining the very basis of the political system, which is public trust. And we have multiple powerful states openly defying federal government. Ironically, establishment upper crust would have been better off if they didn't try to "fortify" anything.

Former White House strategist Stephen Bannon doesn’t plan to comply with a subpoena from the committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol following reports former President Trump advised him and three other former aides to buck lawmakers’ orders.
Thursday at midnight was the deadline for Bannon and former chief of staff Mark Meadows to comply with subpoenas sent on Sept. 23.
The committee also sent subpoenas to Dan Scavino, Trump’s deputy chief of staff for communications, and Kashyap Patel, the chief of staff to then-acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller and a former House and White House staffer.
Bannon alerted the committee he did not plan to comply with the subpoena, a detail first reported by CNN. Meadows also responded to the committee, but the nature of his response was unclear, the outlet reported.
As usual, laws are only for the little people and not rich, white Republicans.

If we had equal justice for rich, white Republicans in this country these criminals would be forcefully dragged from their beds and arrested, throw to the ground, handcuffed and tossed in the back of a van and driven around for awhile. Then perp walked into the front door of the jail, with the press having been given a two hour notice before doing so, and thrown into county genpop. Ideally it would be done on a Friday. Make sure bail can not be processed until Monday.
