I'm not going to post pictures about plastination here, they are really above the line, but if you have a strong stomach you can google them
however, I think that von Hagens is probably the spookiest scientist ever

Dead people have no will, have they? Honestly I do believe that too many people are scared and/or disgusted by the very idea of death, so someone like von Hagens disturbs them so much that they would be doing everything to stop him.. this and the absolute bigotry of Christianity's sacredness of the body..

People donating their organs and their entire bodies for science have been fairly standard practice in most countries for a while now, so Christianity isn't really that much part of debate. The closest medical university to you is also likely to have a room where you can see corpse parts beautifully prepared and presented in formaldehyde glass containers. Those look slick too, apart from being informative. The issue with von Hagens corpses is that first of all there's no real benefit and secondly Christianity aside there are serious ethical issues depending on how he got them. I agree that his stuff looks cool though, and I can relate.
Like this one. A poker game without strong alcohol is very close the top of my spooky things list.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
GODDAMMIT WHY DO I HAVE TO WASTE FIVE MINUTES OF MY LIVE ON YOU THINKING WHEN WE BOTH KNOW YOU'RE GOING TO FOLD?!
Dead people have no opinion.. oh wait I already said that
However.. damn it's about 3 days I'm looking for an old service from an Italian TV show called "Mistero".. long ago they made that service about this old hidden "cult place" (which dates back to the early Christian period, or even before), which was somewhat known to few, but that was discovered again when they were building an underground part of an hospital during WWII... however I remember that as a very spooky episode, I mean only to get there was a mission in itself, the underground hospital was closed and abandoned (and you can bet that an abandoned underground hospital is certainly spooky!), they had to climb up behind some rebuilt walls to access the old natural tunnel that led to this "cult place".. along the road they had to go through a very narrow passage between horizontal natural stone walls (I doubt that someone like me would fit there)... well once eventually they got there the place was terrifying to say the least.. skulls everywhere, a part of which was underwater (actually now that I think of it that place was a spring!).. and breathing was very difficult . .spookiest part was that people was still going there (probably via another undiscovered natural tunnel/shaft) and that "recent" bones could be found there as well (they didn't look like the rest of a crime though, more someone who brought those bones there as a sing of respect, since that place was somewhat sacred).
Anyways, if I'll find it I'll post the video, probably the most frightful real show I've seen in my life
