    Default Explorer's guild doesn't work

I doubted that my explorer's guild HQ works so i made a test:
i watched a generals movement rate and marked the place where he could travel, then destroyed the EXP HQ and passed my turn.
Next turn, the general still moved as far!
Explorer's guild doesn't work, because it should give my troops a movement bonus, but as it is, it doesn't do anything except open trade routes to india (yay 500 gp bonus to trade). Useless guild?

I can't even see india and i can't follow the trade route to india. And also armies only get bonus movement points if they were trained in the same settlement where the explorers guild is.

If a general stays in a city with the guild long enough he'll get an addition to his retinue that increases movement

I thought the movement bonus for the explorer's guild hq was global; meaning it affected all your troops no matter where they were trained. Gonna have to go through the EDB file again...

No i don't think it's global. The explorers HQ is the building that creates an invisible trade route to india and gives the units that were trained there signifgant movement points.

Question: What's with the trade route to India thing?

India? I thought all the units produced there travelled further (The generals aren't produced there...usually)

No, you cant. Its just a reference in the guild description to probably add to the flavour of the guild itself.

Never bothered with the explorer's guild...that's what I get for being too lazy to read about it.

In my mod, I simply gave the explorer's guild the "roads_level_2" ability, which gives their territory highways. This increases unit movement within the province and trade, which is what one expects the guild to do but is disappointed by the fact that it is primarily a minor ancillary recruitment center.
