    THE THIRD ANNUAL


    TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP


    This is the third edition of the TWC hotseat tag team tournament!

    The previous ones were a huge accomplishment, binding all sections together, and this year we shall expand it to all other communities as well

    ALL HOTSEATERS FROM ALL COMMUNITIES CAN PARTICIPATE!


    The best 2-players’ teams shall clash for HOTSEAT SUPREMACY!

    The winners will receive +30 rep, 2 points towards gaming competition sword medal (1 for all finalists, 1 for the winners of the finals), a signature, a special discord rank in Hotseating Hub and a personal avatar!


    HOW DOES IT WORK?

    In TAG tournament there will be teams of two people, and each match will be 2vs2vs2.

    There will likely be 3 rounds, quarter finals, semi finals and finals. And only the winner team goes to the next round. But that may slightly change depending on how many registrations we receive.

    Matches in the first round will be maximally
    15 turns each

    Unless the winner team will be obvious by that time,
    the winner will be determined by settlements captured and battles won.

    In each round different mods will be used, mostly using less familiar mods, to increase the challenge. The mod will not be revealed till shortly before the beginning of a round.

    The first round (likely quarter finals) will be hosted in Hotseating Hub, a discord server partnered with TWC Hotseats.

    Registration:
    You can register in discord registration channel in Hotseating Hub. You can find it under category "TWC TAG TOURNAMENT"

    The Registration period will last at least two weeks.

    Criteria for participation:
    Players may only participate in one tag team
    All hotseaters from all communities can register.
    Players may not be admins or organizers
    Players should be able to play a fast paced hotseat, 24h time limit per player, 48h per team.

    Tournament Rules:
    NO BENDING/ALLIANCES with other teams and no diplomacy at all.
    All teams must fight properly till the end, despite their defeat possibly being unavoidable, until the winner team is declared, either by both loosing teams admitting defeat, or by admins declaring a winner after the turns limit.
    Passwords in the team must be shared with your teammate. No admin subbing, if one of the players cant play his turn, his teammate shall sub him. The factions played by the team will not be assigned to players by admins, it will be up to players within the team to decide who plays which factions. The players are of course meant to plan and play for both factions together.
    Youtubers (unless yourstotalwarmaster) are not allowed to publish their videos from a round, until all matches in the round are finished.
    Breaking the rules may result into your removal form future Gaming Staff/Hotseating Hub tournaments.

    Hotseat Rules:
    Each match will have have a slightly different rules, depending on the mod. All hotseats will be autoresolved.
    However, most of general rules will be present in all of them, and all known exploits and bugs will be forbidden.

    Welcome to the first round, the QUARTER FINALS of the TAG Tournament!

    We shall use King of Rivers and Hills (KORAH) submod of Westeros: Total War

    - Its standalone, simply extract into your mods and play

    This mod used to be one of the most favourite hotseat submods in the era, when Westeros hotseating had been at its peak for several years. KORAH has been made for hotseats by former Gaming Staff Leader Dux, hence it is very well balanced for the hotseats...

    Quarter final rules
    General:
    - The hotseat will last 15 turns, unless the winner is clear sooner.
    - All teams must fight properly till the end, despite their defeat possibly being unavoidable, until the winner team is declared, either by both loosing teams admitting defeat, or by admins declaring a winner after the turns limit (Victors would be decided by a vote amongst the organizers based on how each faction managed in general).
    - NO BENDING/ALLIANCES with other teams and no diplomacy at all.
    - PASSWORDS IN THE TEAM MUST BE SHARED with your teammate. No admin subbing, if one of the players cant play his turn, his teammate shall sub him. The factions played by the team will not be assigned to players by admins, it will be up to players within the team to decide who plays which factions. The players are of course meant to plan and play for both factions together.
    - PM the next whole team that it is their turn. You have 24 hours to play each turn, 48 hours per team.
    - THE NORTH, DRAGONSTONE, DRIFTMARK AND IRON ISLANDS ARE OUT OF BOUNDS. Nobody may enter these regions during the entirety of the Hotseat.
    - 2 strike rule when it comes to a team being late. If your late 2 times with no warning, word or reason then you'll be kicked.Bugs and Exploits:
    - No exploits/bugs allowed: Posting defeats, making walls of units on map to disallow enemy agents to move and stomping/killing agents with units, surrounding armies/navies to deny retreat, intentionally spreading a plague with agents/units, stepping on a merchant to remove him from a trade resource, exploiting AI factions ( for example demanding/accepting money or settlements from AI factions), and more.

    Military rules:
    - You cannot attack enemy lands of opponent teams, if they have not played their first turn yet. You can however cross lands of theirs during the 1st turn, if your army doesnt stand in enemy territory after it has finished movement). You can enter your ally's lands on turn 1. It means for example, that during the 1st turn, Gardener cannot attack Lannister, but Lannister can attack Gardener.
    - All battles are auto-resolved. Screenshots must be posted with: odds and result screens, mouse over the odds bar to show the ratio, the armies involved with their banners visible on the campaign map, unit card of siege unit must be visible if used to directly assault settlement.
    - Armies that are defeated in battle by a player that comes after them in the turn list may not move the following turn. This is to make it fair for people who are defeated by players that come before them in the turn list. Armies standing in a settlement when defeated are excluded from this rule.
    - 2 forts per region per team, and forts need to have a garrison of at least 5 units, to limit fort spamming a bit.
    - Ships cannot leave blockaded ports. It's not allowed to keep units protected by placing them in ships docked in a port.
    - It is allowed to block ports via ground troops. At least 2 units per ship required.
    -Not allowed to besiege a settlement to deny its garrison participation in battle.
    - You are not allowed to besiege a settlement to deny enemy retreat into it.
    - You are not allowed to build watchtowers.
    - Heroic victories are 100% banned and illegal. If you get a heroic victory repeatedly, contact an Admin and we may allow it.
    - Bribed units/agents cant move for one turn. As bribed generals are also counted generals stolen by princesses.
    - NO SIEGE ENGINES ALLOWED (ballistas, catapults and so on)

    Agent rules:
    - Princess must have over 30% odds of success in order to steal a general. Pictures must be posted as proof of these odds.
    - Merchants need 60% to acquire other merchant's assets. Only allowed in your own regions, Rebel Controlled Regions, or regions you have aquired Trade rights to. Screenshots required
    - It is not allowed to put agents that cant be bribed into forts (princesses, priests,...)

    Settlement rules:
    - Destruction of buildings is allowed, starting at TURN 10 (before turn 10, you are not allowed to destroy any building). In order to Destroy any buildings you must have held control of the settlement for at least 3 turns. You may not destroy a building if the settlement is under siege or if an enemy army of a similar size to your defending forces is within 1 turn range
    - Settlements gifted to your teammate should disband all units save one. No gifting regions in a war zone (bordering faction at war with, or under threat). Only allowed once per 5 turns.

    balancing changes : (compared to the previous test save)
    - Economy of each team should be now similar, around 33k in total
    - Each faction has one general with movement bonus
    - Added a half stack in Storm's End (plus boost to the prince) and a little bit more to The Vale (to the prince and Runestone) Ports changes:
    -The West: Lannisport port downgraded to 2nd tier, Crakehall port destroyed (can be rebuilt ofc), Arbor port downgraded to 1st tier (Oldtown stay the 4th tier
    - Thats all due to balance the fact, that Lannisters have twice as many ports than Gardener, and also that Crakehall port wold give the lannisters fleet at war zone way sooner than to the Gardeners
    - The East- Yronwood still has the 3rd tier in Sunspear against The Stormlands 2 2nd tiers (Storm's End and Duskendale). Done this way as Stormkings has twice as many ports (+ possibly Arynn ports). Arynn still has 2nd tier in Gulltown. Mudd now has 2nd tier in Saltpans
    (original changes included - Hoare lands in The Reach to The Gardeners, disbanding fleets, changing kings purses, port edits...)
