well, unless you are a very advanced modder then the only thing you can do is to mess around with the scripts. What I have done on top of the LTC mod was: reducing the firepower of artillery but increasing unit sizes to 8 engines, increasing the hp of gate so ram does 2-3% dmg per hit.
Not much but battles are more spectacular and longer.

well that would mean to HARDCODE the game....

i actually just want to make sieges more balanced. The AI is extremely stupid when atacking cities ( charge to my shieltrom formations with cavalry more dumb****), and even in defending (attack you when u siege instead of waiting you to atack)

Sure. Wait a turn or two, until you have built a few siege engines and then attck. The computer will always come out and attack you the turn before they starve to death. That is perfectly understandable. Usually the AI won't attack me unless they have a force of equal strength or their reinforcements arrive. So if you want to have a long siege, bring a lot of troops.

Also, what is realistic? Realistically, seiges came in all shapes and sizes. There were massive seiges that lasted for years, some only lasted for days. Of course realistically, the army conducting the seige would be spread in groups all around the castle, so an army pouring out of the front doors wouldn't confront the entire force, nicely arrayed for battle. But it's a game. Just don't take advantage of the stupid AI too much and it can be a lot of fun.
