Default Why are the possible explanations for the time slip phenomenon?

In case some of you people never heard of it:
A time slip is an anomaly of time: It is like an unexpected/unplanned and involuntary time travel.

Even though I can't prove that time slips are real nor that they aren't, however there are many people who say they experienced a time slip. Let's assume they don't make up their story. In that case, what would be a possible explanation?
I'll share a video about a case that supposedly happened in England to some sailors cadets:

That doesn't make much sense. It is unlikely ( But not impossible ) that they get drunk before a military duty or drill or test because they know they would risk their reputation or expose themselves to be punished or that it would be hard to read a map correctly in that condition.

oh really? Does the possibility of time travel make more sense to you than three kids having a few beers when they are given a day off to take a test in the countryside?

They were three children in a very simple test at home, not elite soldiers entering enemy territory.

The only interesting thing about all this is the need for many people to believe (or create) stories about space-time alterations, UFOs, parallel dimensions, spirits, etc.
