Amend/change Generals bodyguards

apologies if this is in the wrong chat. Could anyone please point me in the right direction as I would like to edit/amend some generals bodyguards? i.e if they have soldiers I would like them to have cavalry. I was able to do this a few years ago but I have forgotten how. Any help/tutorial would be gratefully accepted.

I do know that this is the file to edit but there is a lot more to it if I remember correctly?

I don't think so, you can find the starting generals there.
If you don't know what units you can give, look into data/text/export_units.txt and data/export_descr_units.txt.
