I don't get it and I'm not sure about the early roman consular cavalry equipement, is it just wrong equipement?
What do you mean when saying aliens?

TBH, all I see are low poly (to be expected in a game this old) models and sometimes weirdly displayed normals on them (again, might be the engine).

Yeah, it looks janky, but I think I've seen worse. Anyways, try this thread here to add suggestions of models/assets people should look into changing/improving. But I think you will quickly see there that... your standards might be a tad bit too high for this engine.

Yeah I know that I'm pretty exaggerating. But it's really not meant this way.
I'm absolutely aware of the old enginge and very impressed with what the EB team still manages to squeeze out of it in general!
Just thougt that perhaps this was an easy to fix known problem... ;-)
