    Default Recommend a joystick!

After much of happy usage, my MS Sidewinder FF Pro 2 has broken down, and I'm buying a new joystick. Homewer, I'm confused about what I should go for. Some sticks have had good reviews, but I've read that they broke down in about a month or so. Do you have/have you had a joystick that's been reliable and fun and could you tell me about it? I'm looking for something with a throttle slide, both Force Feedback and non-FF are fine. Price doesn't matter that much, but I'm not going for anything professional or very expensive, so any good all-round sticks like my ex-Sidewinder are the thing I'm looking for. Any recommendations?

EDIT: Oh and a stick twist rudder is a must.

well, i have a ms sidewinder precision 2. Non-force-feedback. I have had it for at least 3 years. Never gave me a problem. If you don't want to spend gazilions on a hotas config then it's the best choice.

    I've got this one:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Trust-13276-.../dp/B0002DCL1G

It was only £12.50 and it does the job. As well as joystick twist it has rudder left/right buttons next to the throttle which comes in handy for flight sims. I prefer the rudder buttons for flight sims and the twist for space sims for some reason. I guess it's because in space games twist tends to be roll and it seems to go with it. While in flight sims I tend to accidentally turn the plane a bit when twisting. The stick doesn't take too much desk space either so I have room for keyboard, mouse and joystick together.

My only gripe is I find the suction cups are more a hindrance than a boon. It makes it awkward to just gently nudge the joystick to the side a bit if you want to make a little extra room for the mouse.
