Thanks for the historical commentary. It sounds like a fair amount is known about civilizations in the time period around the events of the Trojan War. However, as you said, because historical writing in the style of Herodotus hadn't begun, and because we don't have any significant writing from Troy, it seems that we can't know much of what happened in the Trojan War. I'm intrigued by your suggestion that, the titles of rulers might play a role in the game, with a player of a minor faction striving to become the leader of a coalition of kings.
Yeah I'm hoping they do something with the titularies too.. We do know a lot about that time period, just not the complete historical narrative.. I hope that Total War Troy does keep at least some sense of realism though. We'll see!
