I'd say do them for the pleasure of doing them.. it's like a modding project, you start it because you like to do something new

I like the upgraded text, anyways!

I think maybe this situation can be used as a lesson to change the rules for similar competitions in the future. I mean if there is a huge gap in the number of votes for different submissions, like if there is one submission that gets more than 50% of votes, that should be the automatic winner, no second rounds necessary imho. To avoid situations like this.

or simply do not reveal the number of votes in the poll, eh?

Honestly, as I said, I think most of the people partake in these competitions just for the pleasure of creating stuff (art, in general), independently from the fact that it's a competition or what kind of "prize" one can win. It is certain that only one can win, and that one way or another it's always possible to understand where the competition is going (i.e. during The 3K badges competition it was quite evident, from the comments and appreciation of people, that Katsumoto's entries were going to win, even though the competition was much closer with Mak's and Lifth's submissions.. however, bot of them completed the 2nd submissions and went to the finals, fighting their chances as it should be ).

In any case, as I already said, one can withdraw from the competition in any moment, and partaking in any further step, even if it does not grant one the victory, will win them some solid reputation (one has to value that kind of stuff, though).
However, I think we have beaten this dead horse quite enough for this time

ps. for the records, the logic of having 2 rounds here is that with first round you commit people into making only 1/4 of the total badges, to show what they want to do and only if they get the general approval of membership (via votes), they commit into making the remaining 3/4. Consider that even if there was going to be only one submission on round 1 I would have put up a poll for it asking people if they like it or not, and in case it it failed, I would have canceled the competition.. similarly, if only one submission goes to round 2, I'll put up a poll to ask people if they approve it, and if they don't (extremely unlikely, still a possibility though) I would simply close the competition with a "no result".

I would never want to compete in a competition where the final number of votes was not revealed, sorry. This is an absolute deal breaker for me.

    Well done Akar.

Now, laugh if you want, but i aint done yet...

    Now, lets see...

Is this Homer version acceptable or it must be marble?

This was the hardest for me to do so far, so i think if the hex badge can be done (text) then probably the rest will be easier:

The hex badge features the statue of Hades.

    The patrician one is Ajax:

    Not sure but probably Leonidas:

    Is this spelling acceptable:

According to my knowledge it should be, but im not sure exactly.

    Athena:

    Hephaestus:

    Poseidon:

Some of them are brighter to make the text more readable. If too bright, i hope not for most people who will vote. Anyways a little too late for me to make alterations, so this style will have to remain.

    Hermes:

    Athena, adjusted text size:

    Artemis:

    Odysseus:

    Ares:

    trojan horse:

    Pitagoras:

    Archimedes:

    Homer, text adjustment:

Cheers Flinn! Lots of coffee had to be consumed to lubricate my brain enough so that i can come up with something. Thats why the black in my badges symbolizes that coffee, the drink of life.

I extended the voting period to 3 weeks since I'll be at holidays soon.. and also because this is the last round, so there's no hurry!

Poll should close on August the 31st, unless I'm somewhat forced away from TWC on that day

oh my, I completely forgot to inform you that the poll has been closed on the 31st as promised.

As soon as I'm ready to go live with the results I'll make them public and post the celebration thread.. just a bit more of suspense
