These are looking great so far i have always been a fan of having celtic generals and armies in general having wide range of colours on them. makes them look a little less formal if that makes sence

An impressive design, bright and distinctively Celtic! I wonder what kind of sources you use for inspiration.

Mostly Internet sources like Artwork on Pinterest or Osprey books.

But also wikipedia with scientific standard of quotation.

    Or artefacts like Gundestrup cauldron.

Some introducing words to celtic helmets:

Diodorus Siculus wrote in his "Library of history" V, 30, 2:

For armour they use long shields, as high as a man, which are wrought in a manner peculiar to them, some of them even having the figures of animals embossed on them in bronze, and these are skilfully worked with an eye not only to beauty but also to protection. On their heads they put bronze helmets which have large embossed figures standing out from them and give an appearance of great size to those who wear them; for in some cases horns are attached to the helmet so as to form a single piece, in other cases images of thefore-parts of birds or four-footed animals.

    http://penelope.uchicago.edu/Thayer/...culus/5B*.html

So an ancient historian says, that celtic nobles used horned helms.

But also archaeological artefacts confirm this:

    Other examples:

    https://world4.eu/gallic-gallo-roman-helmets/

So there is enough evidence, that some celtic nobles would have worn horned helmets as symbol for their high status and their divine status (like from Cernunnos, the horned god).

So some of my generals will wear horned helmets and other animal figures.

    Great work!

Would love to see your efforts for the Illyrian/Dacian/Thracian/Bithynians. Loved your work on the female generals for this group, but it seems that these look too much like the other "northern barbarians" and should potentially (at least in the case of perhaps the Illyrians, Odyrssians, and Bithynians) look more like "civilized" Barbarians who have partially adopted Hellenism. That would be a great contrast to the Dacians and other northern barbarians.

Thank you very much for your kind words.

As the illyrian and thracian tribes were to a very different extent influenced by hellenistic culture - the Delmatae for example were barely influenced by hellenistic culture - i decided to create a specific illyrian and thracian look for them to differentiate them clearly from the hellenistic factions.

But you are absolutely right some illyrian and thracian tribes close to the hellenistic world would have used hellenistic equipment in a high extent.

The mod is finished and will released hopefully soon.^^

Thank you for the quick reply. I looked at the images you posted in "10 reskinned or new added female generals/politicians for Thracians" and I noticed that the Thracian male characters look different than in the original game. Can you share your mod for that too?

Looks great! Thanks for sharing. I hope you include those generals in this standalone release that can be used with other mods.

I would appreciate it, but I'm not sure if others would. Thank you for offering, but you need not do extra work on my account. Please keep up the great work.
