Thread: Death of George Floyd and Subsequent Riots.

Republicans should ask themselves why so few black Americans want to join their party today. Their usual answer, that blacks are being duped and kept on the "Democrat Plantation" is nothing but arrogant racism.

What has happened and will likely continue to happen is that black Americans see Republicans defending racist cops killing unarmed black men and paling around with white supremacists, and rightfully conclude that many Republicans think they have no place in this country save as a brutally oppressed underclass.

African Americans should just take the Bosnian solution and declare their own independent state on the continental United States.

I reckon Georgia would be ideal given the high concentration of african americans and also because it will piss off the most racists.

I wonder how many thousands of inner city jobs these riots are going to end up destroying.
"This site isn't currently available in the EU" lol

Anyways, if the city failed to protect them from looters then the city should pay for their damages to keep them in Chicago or business will just leave and take their tax revenue somewhere else. They’re not a charity.

And now the embattled white government of the United States is forced to concede to the Protestors and charge ALL 4 of the police officers involved, and Minnesota may be disbanding the police force.

Mega-Thread from twitter, where a Defence Attorney collects videos from police violence and abuse since the protests began.

Not really interested in contributing to this show of a thread; I irrationally hoped that I wouldn't find so many closet racists and ardent white supremacists here, to no avail though.

Around 300 examples of dodgy policing, that shows there is a problem. Share your view on this thread. Historic events are happening right now and all some people can manage is the current, discredited MAGA line.

There's no denying it now, nor ever.

The United States is a fascist state, a white supremacist caste structure masquerading as a 'liberal democracy'. It's like what Nazi Germany would have become if the Axis had won the war and tried to tell everyone how noble and righteous they were despite exterminating and executing other races. In the case of the United States, the armed forces and the police regularly conduct pogroms and executions of non whites.

If any of you have the stomach for it, go on twitter or tiktok and see for yourself the reality of these police murders of protestors and coloureds. It is a veritable Final Solution being conducted before our eyes.

Stop insinuating that these protests are violent, instead of peaceful, by lumping looters and rioters with protesters. Moreover, turning a near blind eye towards police brutality that only incenses otherwise peaceful protesters into rioting (like we've seen in DC after Trump violently cleared a crowd for a photo-op), is only a one step better than what Trump and GOP are doing.
More flagrant denials and strawmen. I didn’t equivocate peaceful legitimate protests with looting and violence. You did. I quoted the mayor of Atlanta and other public figures’ appeal for people to channel anguish and frustration into peaceful protest and political action. Suggesting that condemnation of rioting and looting incites violence from demonstrators, or turns a blind eye to police violence, only further underscores your need for falsehood as premise for your narrative.

Of these facts there cannot be any shadow of doubt: for instance, that civil society was renovated in every part by Christian institutions; that in the strength of that renewal the human race was lifted up to better things-nay, that it was brought back from death to life, and to so excellent a life that nothing more perfect had been known before, or will come to be known in the ages that have yet to be. - Pope Leo XIII

Actually I'm with BW here. Alhough BLM is leading the protests, many police forces are brutalising anyone of any race who are seen to stand up for their rights or oppose the current policing regime.

And really, are we going to wager there’s something insidious about my condemnation of violence and looting, or rather, about your attempts to rationalize and excuse it? I’m comfortable leaving my money where it’s at.
Absolutely your condemnation of violence and looting is insidious. Weren't you just told that looting and rioting is not a "conscious choice" by, you know, those people (wink wink). It is as though you think those people (nudge nudge) have some sort of agency and could choose not to riot and loot. Violence and stealing is inherent for those people (know what I mean).

Comments like this are the reason why America needs a regime change.

The thing about white supremacist power structures is that they are so insidious that it turns a select few of the oppressed into willing privileged servants of the oppressor; some of the police who brutalised the protestors were unfortunately black as was seen in this case of a policeman striking a woman from behind:
    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ing-woman.html

You see it with Condoleeza Rice and Kiron Skinner and even Obama who contributed to the inherent white supremacist nature of the United States power structure without making any meaningful changes within the system, nor for the oppressed african american communities within the US. Black Lives Matter in fact found its inception in Obama's second term as white supremacist elements undermined his administration.

Personally i don't think it's race so much as it is about class in america; the political elite in america often pushes races against each other and aggravating the already fraught racial situation in american society, so as to not have to face down a collective organised workers' revolt that would push for meaningful change in distributing wealth and resources across the country.

I look at it this way, if you have a baseball team that's 0-60, think it's time to fire the coach, get a new one.
The narrative of systemic racism is at the heart of the liberal/progressive ecosystem. It is ceaselessly professed by the organs of the liberal establishment, its activist base and leftist radicals. When we examine the facts, however, we see not only that the left's racial thesis is false, but that the very inverse is closer to the truth. America is not dominated by structural discrimination; it is instead characterized by its institutionalized opposition to white supremacy, racism and white identity collectivism. It is a society in which Floyd type injustices are the exception not the norm.

The historic laws codifying discrimination, be they from the Civil War or Crow eras, are gone. They have been replaced with legislation – federal and local, civil and criminal – which explicitly and extensively prohibits racial discrimination in the workplace, in education, in housing, in public health and in many other areas of civil life (see these examples from the Civil Rights Act - 18 USC,C13 & 42 USC, C45). These civil rights statutes have been supported by the expansion of the welfare state (which disproportionately assists minority communities), affirmative action policies, “hate-crime” legislation (which specifically treats racially motivated crimes as more egregious than other offences) and an anti-lynching bill which is likely to be signed into law.

At the same time, there has been a steep incline in the number of African Americans (and other racial minorities) in positions of power across the US, ranging from local police chiefs and district attorneys to congressional representatives. In 2008 the American people also elected their first non-white president.

Outside of the law too, expressions of racism are treated as socially criminal. They are strongly opposed by almost all of the country’s institutional pillars - the mainstream press, corporate America, academia, the entertainment industry, and both political parties. Here is an extensive list of the major corporations which have publicly rejected racism in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death:

Moreover, most spaces, including communication platforms (i.e. social media) now strictly prohibit “hate-speech” and other discriminatory practices, with our own TWC being no exception. In fact, such is the exquisite sensitivity to certain racial slurs that even those who utter them without any specific intent or genuine malice risk being ostracized and swiftly ejected from polite society.

Yet it is this environment - an environment in which racial discrimination is forbidden by law and perennially denounced – which is more regularly accused of being “systemically racist” than almost any other. And whenever empirical evidence is requested to support such allegations – as in the George Floyd case – none is forthcoming. Instead we are met with the fallacy of disparity, generalized claims of “unconscious bias” (despite white Americans scoring lower than other racial groups by this measure), nonspecific complaints about Trump, anecdotal evidence and quasi-religious demands that we simply accept certain axioms/assumptions on faith.

It is little wonder then that the enemies of the US – the CCP, the Iranian regime, North Korea and the Kremlin – are eager to get in on the act, parroting the same destabilizing falsehoods which are disseminated by liberal and progressive racialists (examples 1, 2 and 3). But the more that claims of structural racism are professed, the more desperately they are insisted upon, the less credible they seem.

What I mean is that there are plenty of actual racists, but far more people who are comfortable (whether economic, social or cultural) with the status-quo of being in the dominant class/race and who would prefer not to be confronted with the issue in the first place, let alone make concessions.

A good example is people using statistics to defend racial profiling. While they probably don't realise it and think they're being 'rational', it is an open admission that the affront to the status quo (crime against the 'haves') is a worse evil than the injustice inflicted upon the 'have not' minorities.

I see that Bunker Boys has determined that it's a great day for Floyd, who remains dead. The POTUS is a complete arse.

Let's think the unthinkable, let's do the undoable. Let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.

Why would I want to join a racist organization like BLM? They display their racism every time they go after someone for saying "all lives matter". BLM is just a component of the DNC plantation system designed to garner black votes by telling them how bad they have it and the whites are out to get them and the only way they can save themselves is to vote for Democrats...which has done nothing for them in 5 decades. Einstein had a description for this approach to problem solving.

I had an uncle who was shot and killed by the police back in the 50s. He was unarmed. The thing was he was the sort of person who got belligerent when he was drinking. He was a big guy and the officer who shot and killed him decided he would shot him instead of getting his butt kicked.

If you look at the people who are shot it is almost always someone of large physical stature. Nobody is going to risk getting their butt kicked when they have a gun readily available.

The thing to remember is never resist the police. They have hard days every day because there is always someone who wants to give them problems.

In the case of Floyd it is obvious they had a relationship and it was not a congenial one. The two worked at the same club. This was obviously payback for something. Should the cop be tried and go to jail? Absolutely! It wasn't some arbitrary action by a cop. They knew each other. It was payback.

They seem to be pretty inclusive to me given the composition of the protesters. If you are falling for Trump's divide and rule tactics, cops are going to continue to behave as they are. You don't have to like their politics. America fought with Stalin at one time after all said and done.

Like in what world was saying that a good idea?
To be fair Trump is delivering equality, people of all races are being beaten up by the police.
