Music Editing - Definitive Edition

Is there a nyway to modify the music in the Definitive Edition of M2TW? I tried the methods I used in previous version, but to no avail... I extracted all the music files, edited the descr_sounds_music.txt, removed Music.dat, Music.idx, events.dat, events.idx and reloaded the game. The game created new files in place of the old ones, except they are broken - they have 1kb each, and there is no music or unit voices playing at all... Help?

As I said on Steam: it's always been a matter of making the game reading the TXT files required. Use my sound devkit to get an idea how it works.
