Yeah its really odd. i have noticed that on other flags too. think its just more obvious because its mainly white.

Looks like it's to apply a "button" like effect to it. It's just a white light/glow in the right corner. It doesn't really look that bad on most of them.

There's probably a way to disable that if you wanted to.

Took a few days off from staff and graphics work, gonna try and knock a few more of these out for you today. In the mean time though, I have a question. I haven't been able to find any coinage or images for the following factions:

I was actually thinking about this quite a bit to and to be honest there is a real lack of coinage when you get away from the southern part of the UK. It might be that we have to just throw some imagery at the wall to see what sticks to be honest. I was taking a look in the divide et impera mod files and under the patterns > briton folder they have a real wealth of icons that could be really well utalised for this project. the patterns are for shields but include things like this.



Or at the very least used as inspiration you know. honestly im totally fine with some interpretations on your side just as long as they fit the general theme!

Those DeI icons are great, I'll definitely take a look at those. That's exactly the kind of stuff I can use for the "unknown" factions.

i would have to agree they are really good, totally worth a look at. the only thing i would say is that they will be being used as patterns on the shields for unit variation so im not sure if itll look weird having them on the flag for one faction and then it showing up on a shield for thier enemy.

if i am being honest, i was kind of hoping to keep them all in the same pool so that the units had a really wide range of variations across the factions. if i cut them down to suit the flag they might start to look a little to uniformed.

Alright, managed to go through the rest of the faction list today and see which ones I can and can't find images for. With a lot of these tribes they were only mentioned in passing in Ptolemy's Geographia so there's not much to go on outside of the big ones. The French Wikipedia seems to have more coin images than the English one does so I'll try and look there too - though my French is pretty bad.

I'm going to finish up the one or two I have left that I could find coins for and then I'll see if I can't find some generic Celtic coins or imagery that haven't already been used and try to fit those to the remaining factions.

Can you upload and send me a file with all of the images from DeI you were talking about? Probably won't end up using them, but it would be nice to have them as a reference.
