eg. here
there're slight changes afterwards
Sorry, I meant this entry.
Godspeed, looking forward to your feedback
Btw regarding Crusaders, out of all, I like their music change the most. Previously they just used northern_european like England or Hre, now it's a mix of that, middle_eastern, and some unique tracks.
^^
Just found out that this piece from Medieval 1 Total War was also used in Witcher 3 lol , i thought it sounds familliar.

YO , JLMP , sorry to bother you , but could you put a list of the combat / battle songs you used in your mod? Cause i keep searching for a specific one and i cant find it under any circumstance. Thank you in advance.!
Not a problem, so descr_sounds_music.txt is the file that can help you narrow down your search, here are the battlemap entries I've introduced (disregarding the vanilla medieval 2 ones) - along with some explanations, but otherwise names are pretty self-explanatory and all can be found on Youtube:

Glad I could help, and that song/track is awesome, so I used it many times
Updated:
- added Arabic and Cuman Princesses voices (using customized Mediterranean voices for now)
- removed 1 annoying song, added 5 more
Hey JLMP, I've been using this with v0.96, and I was wondering if you could clarify precisely what of this is incorporated into v0.97, and what isn't, but can be used with it.
Hi Sir Cirdan,
all the music and voice fixes are already in v097 so it will be redundant once it's released,
except for English faction names (the file here is made for 097, so if you prefer English, you will be able to use it )
Thanks. What about the font change, which I rather like?
Given the pre-release status of v097, I haven't gotten the chance to use your English faction names change, but I greatly appreciate you creating it. To my mind, Latin and other foreign-language names do not increase the historical accuracy one bit, and their use is simply an annoyance. After all, if modern English translations of historical documents weren't acceptable for academic purposes, shouldn't we be forcing everyone to become fluent in the relevant (and probably dead) language, before we ever taught using primary sources? Obviously this view is would be absurd from a teaching perspective, so it should be so much more out of place for a game, in which the purpose is, first and foremost, fun. As someone who plays a wide variety of games, and has often looked to try to increase the 'realism' or historical authenticity of existing games, I've come to realize that a truly authentic game replicating anything probably wouldn't be much fun, and would no longer really be a game, but would instead become a simulation. There's a balance to be had between realism and gameplay. On the whole, I think SSHIP does this quite well, but this was one area I thought it lacking.
It would be wonderful if some day SSHIP could incorporate different "settings" for language options, either as a setup like SS 6.4, or at the start of a campaign.
The fonts are also included, just without long description texts, as any other font than vanilla proved to be a pain to read in the long run. And I've literally tested hundreds of different fonts :/ Vanilla text is still the best although it lacks some special characters causing ???s, but we decided to leave as it is.
Anyway, if you still hate ???s more than your eyes, feel free to use my full font set here
English names - yeah, I totaly agree, latin names and whatnot are not immersive for me, if anything its the opposite. But just so you know, we are spilling foul heresy here , as most of the team prefers the historical names and I can see and respect their point.
You brought up a good idea with the custom setup to change the languages, maybe that could work, thanks. Although to be frank, as much as I like english names, I dislike selectable options that split the mod's vision. For example the one in Bulat Steel is absolutely horrendous.
Either way, that's a nice idea there, and I'm sure more players have similar preferences as we do. Will think about it
Does the English names work file you have work with the current release (0.96)?
