Unlimited men on battlefield doesn't work

So as the title suggests, i have it enabled in the preferences file, but despite it every time i have a bigger battle i get the "reinforcements delayed" message, saying i should upgrade my PC. I have my preferences file on read only and everything.

Is that a hardcore MTWII thing, that it just can't go past a certain number of men on the battlefield? My PC doesn't need upgrading to run MTWII at the highest, so that's not the issue.

Try my mod set up (it's the default campaign with fixes and files essential for a mod set up) and have a look there in it's CFG file. Editing the main game's CFG file and making it read only isn't a recommended way to do stuff.

Alternatively install my desktop shortcuts and use the one for the main campaign - it uses a custom folder mod set up (mods\launcher). Check the CFG file there as well.
