Northern Dúnedain- Divide and Conquer Version 4.5

Good morning everyone! This is another new TSJ Plays series I am doing as the Northern Dúnedain in the Divide and Conquer Mod for Medieval 2 Total War. If you don't know Divide and Conquer overhauls the game into the Lord of the Rings universe so I definitely recommend checking it out! Good morning supers! In this episode of the Divide and Conquer 4.5, Northern Dúnedain takes the fight to the Orcs of the Misty Mountains by invading their territory. I have skipped ahead about 50 turns since the first episode not expanding but building up my military for an invasion into Orc lands, building up my economy and bolstering my defenses against invasion. I agree, Aragorn is a great character and this looks like a cool mod! As you said, it seems that the Northern Dúnedain have a challenging start, surrounded by orcs. I'm intrigued by the quest for Aragorn, to go to Bree, and the message he receives at the Prancing Pony.

In this episode of the Divide and Conquer Let's Play, the Northern Dúnedain attempt to clear their lands of bandit armies of orcs from the remnants of the Orcs of the Misty Mtns. Aragorn also continues to develop his kingdoms economy and military for the eventual invasion to the north and south! Enjoy!

Cool Lord of the Rings Action, indeed! That's an interesting challenge in the battle against Angmar, where you're relying on cavalry and archers.

It looks like Angmar is still a threat and, as Gondor weakens, the danger from Mordor is rising. As you said, that's a very unusual siege map at around 20:00. Good update!

Dunland is putting up a heck of a fight as Aragorn expands south.

If you love Total War bridge battles this episode is for you. It kicks off with a massive bridge crossing of over 5,000 Dunlenders trying to get past dozens of Catapults and hundreds of archers. Enjoy!

A turkey shoot for the Dúnedain archers, as you said, but the enemy had so many troops that it looked challenging despite your advantage of defending the bridge. The moment when things seem desperate and the Cardolan Riders arrive (at about 16:10) is an especially good one.

It's shame that the dwarves attacked, it would have been cool to see them fighting alongside your Dúnedain against Mordor's armies. I was worried that your thin line might not hold, but your pikemen are sturdy and your cavalry are very effective.

That's an exciting bridge battle and I see what you mean about the luckiest guy ever (at 21:50)!

Good episode! That's a funny moment at 6:20 when one attacker got through your line, I imagined him calling out "Come on, we've broken through!" only to turn around and see that he was the only one.

Sauron's possession of the One Ring sounds very ominous! I'm looking forward to seeing what this will lead to on the campaign map and how you'll deal with this. It looks your northern location will keep you relatively safe from Mordor for a while. The truce with Isengard looks useful, even though (as you said) they probably can't be trusted. Good episode!
