I have told you what I know about the movie and I have no interest in googling "movies about the byzantine empire and its conflicts with its neighbors without any repercussions made by staff without any international recognition" to try to find the title. Anyway congrats to whoever wants to do the search or to the Balkan/Turkish guy who have seen the movie.

Unless it's that bulgarian movie, it is highly likely to be turkish. The lack of any historical accuracy regarding the Byzantine noble makes me assume as much ^^
