The level of graphics is amazing, and yet, it moves smoothly! So far, it hasn't crashed on me.

The game Command & Conquer is more similar to StarCraft.
Pretty funky. Looking at some reviews now since I can't quite figure out if it's an RTS game or more of a 4X.
It's like the Total War series. The battles are RTS. The maps with the provinces are 4X.
It's a Real Time Tactics Game. There is no base building, and you fight in the battle maps, trying to occupy zones so you can call-in units while the fight ends when one side has zero points left. Points are lost when a unit is lost, and as expected, higher end units cost more points.
Its heart is mostly the MP, where you are essentially deck-building, having to fill tabs for Infantry, Armour, Artillery, etc against a set point limit. You can pick specific a specific country or coalition, a deck specialisation (for example Airborne), or one of two periods (roughly early and late Cold War). These give you different bonuses and challenges to face. I am not sure how active the MP is nowadays, as development and support has effectively stopped.
Its SP is okayish, basically you have a Risk-like map where you pick where to attack, where to move and which Battlegroups to replenish or R&R. Replenish means gaining back all the units you've lost while R&R gives you more points in the next battle (essentially the AI has to kill a lot more of your units). Battlegroups are, you guessed it, decks, which mostly do a surprisingly good job at representing the actual military unit they are supposed to be. Essentially, the campaigns boil down to conquering the set objective region within a time-limit, all while using requisition points to call in additional battlegroups. Personally, I found it fun, but got really tedious after a while, considering the small selection of maps and the AI's limitations. Basically the AI has a God's Eye and knows where all your units are, thus taking much of the fun out out of combat and forcing you to rely on game-y tactics.
The less said about the Naval Battles, the better.
