It is the reenactment of some shields that appear in Iberian pottery and that, due to the differences between these shields and the common ones, it is likely that they were made by wicker or another organic material. However, as always, due to their organic nature, it is impossible to confirm. Two examples:
Yeah, it looks like it could be wicker. I like Kalkan shields and I'd like to see how they hold up to attacks one day. Thanks!
