My thesis is that the concept of "the left" as held by Trump supporters and other alt right movements ties in closely with susceptibility to conspiracy theories. After all "The left" basically became "everything the alt right hates", the alt right simplistic world view requires "the Left" to have some sort of agency, and therefore coherence which in turn requires the supposition of strange cabals of groups with incompatible interests, supposing coordination between socialists, neoconservatives, multinational corporations, the mainstream media, hollywood, academia and so on.

The idea of Nazis coming back or infiltrating governments is a common theme because it both tackles socio-political anxieties and a desire to fight against authority. The French do this all the time, so do the Germans, America is no exception. But either way the army, federal agents, military industrial complex are not Nazis. I mean if anything the army is still committed to keeping the Republic in place, federal agents and police have been infiltrated by cynical Left leaning Liberals since the 70's, and the military industrial complex (and corporations in general) are also cynical Capitalists both Left and Right leaning. The issue here lies in the strange definition of what is Fascist, which the Left has been using constantly as a beating switch since the 1950's and prior to that it was being used by the Right against the Left.

So I can say that the GOP is a joke, Trump was a failure, but there are still people who are invested in these political games. The Left especially has been acting hysterical for about a decade and Trump only capitalized on the anti-Left sentiment that a lot of people had. But these Leftists will be just as disillusioned with Biden as they were with Obama. All while actually believing that the Left can and has co-opted the Democrat party, which it has not. Here we have a case of the tail wagging the dog. But the Left thinks it is actually in control and that their strategy worked. The Trumpians tried to infiltrate the GOP, how did that actually work? Why does the Left think that it can take over the DNC when these are more or less the same people in power as what we have in the GOP? And I emphasize that the DNC is CYNICALLY pandering to the Left in an effort to win votes but won't actually do anything for them.

Things Biden will do:
-present himself as Obama 2.0
-follow policies eerily similar to what Trump is doing, but with a more expert execution
-repeal Trump policies and claim that this is actually a great victory
-do little to nothing about what the Leftists actually want
-CYNICALLY cater to minority voters rather than the average Leftist (and the GOP will attempt to do likewise and ignore their base)

and here is what the Left and pretty much everyone else will do:
-still have no idea why it was Trump won
-pretend that the reason Trump lost was actually because he was "dividing the country" (in spite of the fact that BLM also pushed many voters to Trump both times around, and the obvious problem that Trump was already elected to begin with)
-be completely disenchanted with the electoral system, yet somehow coming up with all sort of smart reasons why they need to keep voting in order to prevent the other side from winning
-things will get so bad that eventually some guy will be elected and he will throw them a bone... something useless like Obama Care or something which doesn't actually solve any issues but only addresses them on a surface level so that they can pretend that they are actually tackling the problem
-rinse and repeat
