I think you could use that description to describe all 50 states at present, so he must have won!
Trump is a political outsider, he hasn't sat well in the big chair in the White House, it isn't one of his companies. He is arrogant and doesn't build alliances, so his capacity for changing anything has been stymied. He has failed to build any kind of momentum behind him for reform and is a victim of his own inflated ego. As a consequence, genuine change hasn't come about directly as a consequence of his presidency. He was swept to office on a wave of discontent not a belief in him, a billionaire businessman.
That discontent will certainly not go away though after this election, the fact so any Americans voted for him, show that they trusted him more than the political establishment which tried so much to undermine his office. His lasting achievement will actually be his defeat. The way this election has been handled, the blatant bias of the news media, will both leave lasting impressions upon the American population.
Biden is weak, he represents a divided party with increasingly radical elements which will challenge him and one that will not secure the senate. With a raging pandemic, economically crippling the country and challenges to American influence around the world, I can only see the continuing to remain in a very troubled stage in its history. A Biden presidency may be the solution for the political elite in Washington, it is not the solution for moving the US forwards and tackle the many challenges ahead for the Country as a whole.
They spent the last five years accusing everyone who didn't kiss up to Trump of being an apologist for cannibal pedophiles or cannibal pedophiles themselves. How do you come back from that?
"Hey guy, I know I told everyone you molested and ate children without a shred of evidence, but I'd really like it if you could just forget about that. So are we cool?"

I simply hope Republican party changes their tone and stance, stopping this Trumpist-polarizing attitude that has been on a steep rise since the Tea Party.
This radicalization will tear US apart. While the democrats should also use this time to mend the wounds and take a more balanced stances, if the Republican keep up with this form of radical populism simply to gain scared white votes, US along with the world will be in biiig trouble. We see that people still vote for Trump in masses.
This vote isn't about civic values, it seems to be about the polarization. I do not see how an adult can take Trump serious otherwise....
"Therefore I am not in favour of raising any dogmatic banner. On the contrary, we must try to help the dogmatists to clarify their propositions for themselves. Thus, communism, in particular, is a dogmatic abstraction; in which connection, however, I am not thinking of some imaginary and possible communism, but actually existing communism as taught by Cabet, Dézamy, Weitling, etc. This communism is itself only a special expression of the humanistic principle, an expression which is still infected by its antithesis – the private system. Hence the abolition of private property and communism are by no means identical, and it is not accidental but inevitable that communism has seen other socialist doctrines – such as those of Fourier, Proudhon, etc. – arising to confront it because it is itself only a special, one-sided realisation of the socialist principle."

From comments on The Hill:
I think not only will Republicans learn absolutely nothing, they will be even worse from now on. Expect them to run on outlawing interracial marriages or repealing the 13th Amendment or freeing Dylan Roof. What an embarrassment it is going to be for Democrats to have to defend Biden & Heels Up for four long mistake filled years.
I'm betting that Kamala the Marxist drops a dime on Xiden to get him removed.....
Blacks find rioting and looting to be fun. They won a mandate to continue rioting and looting.
Nope. I'm tired of his stupid fans and I have no incentive to appease these overgrown babies. Republicans have been increasingly belligerent and intransigent since the Teabaggers came along and Trumpism is just the latest manifestation of their unpatriotic, uncivilized, infantile behavior. You don't compromise with spoiled children, you contain them until they choose to act civilized, and discipline them if they refuse to learn. While the democrats should also use this time to mend the wounds and take a more balanced stances

How are you going to hold them responsible? Put them on a Tascon list?
Do what fascist/nazi/commies do and demand martial law be declared, have them summarily arrested and stripped of constitutionally protected rights?

AP just called Pennsylvania, and the election, for Biden.

Now the only question is the Senate.
No, he is not. He is most likely to be having apparently won the most states, but he is not just yet. First the electoral college needs to confirm him, then he needs to assume office before he finally dies of old age. Until then, Trump is still the president.
So the correct way of putting this would be:
Joseph R. Biden is now most likely to become the 46th President of the United States of America, barring any unforeseen events between now and January.
Whether or not Trump wins his challenges, it is still a good thing that he is doing it. It is awfully hard to pick out an illegal vote once it's been put in the stack and that's the reason why it is not likely to turn out in Trump's favor; unless there is a revote.
But there has been benefits. Just on the first day of the challenge a Republican seat was gained when a glitch was discovered in the voting software that sent thousands of Republican votes to Dems. Co-incidentally Georgia uses the same software.
Also on the first day over 3,000 criminal referrals were sent to the DOJ for people who voted illegally in Nevada; and that's just the first day.
No wonder the news media and the Dems are screaming trying to stop the challenge.
I’m all for fair elections, but don’t be so disingenuous as to claim only people on one side engaged in any sort of hijinks. You know better than that, B.W.

I hope the inventory of the white House is up to date.... god knows what trump and his bootlickers will steal to pay his debts.
A system that allows either or both sides to engage in hijinks is a problematic system though. If that is the case the system needs to be reinforced and safeguarded against potential bad practices. Yet the message that one gets by reading the news and the various announcements is that the system is perfect and Trump nuts. In other words, going by your assumption that hijinks are part of the game, it is a message of denial and scapegoating. Not exactly a recipe for improvement.
We don't have a system. We have 51 systems. Karl Rove would laugh you out of the room if you think there was some vast conspiracy to steal the election from Trump. Especially and not steal the Senate and not do better in the House at the same time. Nevermind the State chambers in a year to redraw state districts as well.
Oh wait. He already laughed you out of the room.
What you really need to realize is that in America it's easier to just win the election than steal it.

One thing is for certain: the more profoundly baffled you have been in your life, the more open your mind becomes to new ideas.

Let's think the unthinkable, let's do the undoable. Let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.
While the Republicans claimed voter fraud without the slightest evidence, we had Republicans openly trying to undermine the elections. I'm baffled how anyone can even cry wolf now...

"We're nice mainly because we're rich and comfortable."
And did I say that there is some vast conspiracy to steal the elections? Did I say the election was stolen? That's a no on both counts. So yeah.
And yes I am aware that every state does as it pleases when it comes to the elections, does it change the fact that irregularities should be ironed out and the vote safeguarded? Does having more systems somehow justify them malfunctioning? It doesn't matter if the election was stolen, it matters if the election in any part of the country was not fair or proper. Because if it is fair and proper, you can be assured it can't be stolen. If the system, or systems, is malfunctioning, they need to be fixed. That won't happen if people are in denial.
