Where is the table that defines which VMD will be used in battle?

Hello guys

Most generals have a different Variant Mesh Definition for campaign than for battle. Usually the naming goes something like this:

roman_general_01_campaign.variantmeshdefinition (the VMD that is used on the campaign map)

roman_general_01_battle.variantmeshdefinition (the VMD of the same general that is used in battle)

Where is the table that defines which VMD will be used where? Because some VMDs follow a different naming, so I doubt the game instantly recognises the "campaign" and "battle" words and automatically assigns the correct one.

I looked at the usual tables like campaign_art_sets but I can't see any info about this there.
