Were some Roman items still found in the Teutoburg Forest in the 20th or the 21th century?
Do you think one can still find something by digging where the Teutoburg forest battle took place? Did you ever visit that place?

They have found archaeological remains of what they think is the site of the Battle of Teutonburg Forest.

However, it is hard to be certain of the exact locations of the sites of ancient battles. After thousands of.years, lanscapes often have undergone major changes, much of ancient Alexandria is under water, for exsmple. And the ancients didn't set up markers at locations of battles commemorating the battles for the most part. Even when you find evidence battle, it could be from anothrt smaller battle.fought in the same area.
